Neil Sedaka - Classically Sedaka [VHS]

Having been a huge fan of Neil sedaka for many years, and enjoyed his many hit records, it came as a big surprise to me while surfing through the channels on my Sky TV to suddenly come across Neil on stage with the Philharmonic orchestra around him singing the popular classics, but not in Italian!, but to his own original lyrics, it was wonderful to hear these great classics being sung in our on language (Especially Nessun Dorma!). By the time the concert finished,I knew I had get this concert,but alas, my supplier could not get it as it was in VHS form only. Undaunted I turned to Amazon on my PC and low and behold, there it was! So I snapped it up, and I thoroughly advise everyone to do the same, you will not be disappointed I can assure you. Certainly a different angle on the classics. Video quality reasonable. Would be nice if cleaned up and put on DVD. Certainly a better price than the cd. Interestenly my sister in law picked the cd up in a charity shop here for 50p. What a bargain!

I went to this concert but never bought it at the time. Some wonderful memories came flooding back. This is one of Sedaka's best concerts.

Used VHS tape in good condition as stated. Presumably ex-rental video. I was able to copy it onto my DVD Recorder hard drive and then onto disc without any problems.

Exactly what it says on the cover...Neil Sedaka playing classical pieces to which he has added lyrics. Something different that you will either love or hate! I loved it!

I own this video and the item on this site reminded me of that and I immediately got it out and watched it. It shows the true romantic and versatility of the man with a unique voice and talent many fail to reach. To sing live to difficult songs to master to which he truly did in his own impeccable style and vocal range. 'Hands of Time' springs emotionally to mind and physically choked me with a lump in my throat as it touched on so many close memories and feelings. Even if your not a Neil Sedaka follower but love classical I am sure you will agree he has done these all time classics proud. Well recommended for any true music lover!!!
