Review: Perfect for watching movies on an airplane - I had the previous generation xreal glasses and they were very good with a few annoying problems. This generation Xreal one fixes all of the problems with the previous generation and add more features. One of the most useful features is the ability to pin the virtual screen to real world space meaning you can move your head to the right and you see the image being left on your left side as your face turns away from it. While this is required for augmented reality, even for a more practical use, which is watching a movie on an airplane on a virtual 100 inch plus screen it is very handy to be able to turn your head slightly away to focus on something in the real world, merely by moving your head without having to fumble for your phone to hit the pause button or taking off your glasses completely. In fact, a feature in these glasses that is combined with the screen being to the physical direction is the ability for the glasses to turn off the black background temporarily when you shift your head away from where the screen is. When you are watching something on the virtual screen, it is very useful for the glasses to enable their black filters which prevents outside light from coming through the virtual screen. This was something that the old generation had as well, but this new generation can now toggle that black filter automatically as you turn your head to look away from the virtual screen, making the glasses be completely see-through to where you can see whatever you are looking at. Another cool feature is a virtual big screen meaning that not the entire entirety of the virtual screen is visible at the same time. So for example, in normal virtual screen mode, you don’t have to move your head or your eyeballs really to see the entire screen because all of it is in your field of view. With the big screen feature turned on the image is projected onto a virtual screen that is bigger than the LCD panels in the glasses, which would simulate the type of experience that you would have in the movie theater if you were sitting toward the front of the theater. Where you only see about 60% of the screen directly in front of you and you have to turn your head left or right to see the rest of the screen. This is actually a more natural way for us to view things because in the real life you tend to turn your head, slightly left or right or up or down as you’re looking around. And finally a third feature of these glasses, which is a little bit more advanced to get into but nonetheless very cool is if you have a video game that is capable of turning on virtual reality mode using “side-by-side“ then these glasses can actually act as VR glasses not just AR glasses. I have done this successfully with the video game called elite dangerous where turning on side-by-side 3-D mode creates a screen that is essentially 19 20 x 1080 x 2 meaning it’s actually 38 40 x 10 80. The left half being your left eye and the right half being your right eye. Using settings that are built right into the glasses you can enable this mode and it will split that very wide signal coming from your video game into a left eye and right eye allow allowing you to see full 3-D imagery as you are navigating your way in the video game. This is exactly what VR glasses costing hundreds of dollars more will also do, but in a much more compact and cheaper set of glasses. I highly recommend anyone that travels to buy these glasses to have a huge screen to watch movies on or do computer work on a flight and for anybody else that wants to have a portable large screen experience right from your phone or laptop anywhere you happen to be even if that is in your bedroom.
Review: Excellent AR glasses with awesome features - These glasses are great! I have been using AR glasses for productivity and gaming since the NREAL Air back in 2022 and finally decided to upgrade. The One Pros are an improvement in every way. The built in 3DoF processing is super stable and does not drift after hours of use and is activated with a press of a button. Not having to rely on other processing devices or external software is the main reason why I wanted to upgrade to the One Pro. When you have the screen anchored in front of you the glasses automatically get dark around the outside of the screen so it's like you're in a theater, and then you look away from the floating screen, they automatically turn back to transparent, super cool and works really well for using your laptop screen in addition to the virtual one. Resolution is great and text is very readable thanks to the clarity adjustment and IPD settings (I am writing this review while wearing them). Built in menu and settings are easy to use and you can customize 3 quick settings that can be changed at the press of a button. 120hz refresh rate is awesome for gaming. The glasses sound fine, though I will mostly be using them with headphones so I didn't test this too much. While the One Pro is not the cheapest option out there, the features present over the competition was well worth the investment for myself. The built quality and included hard case also give me confidence they will last just as long as my old pair did too.

## Features

- XREAL's Self-Developed X1 Spatial Computing Chip: Delivers Native 3DoF tracking with ultra-low 3ms M2P latency, ensuring stable visuals even during rapid movements. With the optional XREAL Eye, full 6DoF spatial anchoring. It delivers high processing power, seamless compatibility with devices, and distortion-free visuals through advanced stabilization.
- The New Optic Engine-X-Prism Optics: XREAL’s advanced lens and projection system—ultra-slim, precision-engineered optics that project a large, sharp virtual screen right in front of your eyes, while still letting you see your real surroundings clearly. With a best-in-class 57° FOV, Optic Engine 4.0 recreates the feeling of watching a massive 171-inch screen from four meters away—all in lightweight, compact design. Its advanced anti-glare design minimizes reflections and light interference, enhancing clarity and immersion.
- Experience True AR with 6 DoF, Spatial Anchor Anytime: Pairing with XREAL Eye, anchor your screen anywhere in your room, so it stays perfectly fixed in place—even as you walk around, lean in, or change your position. Unlike 3DoF, which keeps the screen at a constant distance relative to your head movements, 6DoF keeps your virtual screen locked to a real spot in your space for true spatial freedom and a more natural, immersive AR experience.
- REAL 3D – Turn everything you watch into an immersive 3D experience: REAL 3D Now Available on All One Series Glasses, instantly transforming all your content—from games and movies to apps and photos—into true 3D with a single switch. Experience richer depth and lifelike visuals across everything you watch or play.
- 57°FOV, 171'' Spatial Screen – More Immersive Visual Experience: Experience a virtual screen starting at 171 inches wide, filling your view with blockbuster visuals, thanks to XREAL’s advanced optics and industry-leading 57° FOV. - Dual IPD Design – Made to Fit Everyone: The XREAL One Pro is designed for comfort and clarity, offering two size options—M (57–66mm IPD) and L (66–75mm IPD)—to fit over 95% of users. Three-stage adjustable arms, zero-pressure nose pads available in three sizes, and a new spring hinge design adapt easily to different head shapes and sizes, ensuring a secure fit without any pinching or pressure. - AR on Any Device, Anytime, Seamlessly: XREAL One Pro are compatible with any USB-C device capable of video output including iPhone 16/15, Android phones (supports DP output), Steam Deck, ROG Ally, MacBook, Windows PCs, and more. And paired with XREAL Eye, you can capture photos and videos instantly. An additional Beam or Adapter may be required for HDMI output devices including iPhone 14 and earlier models.
- Audiovisual Mastery – Sound by Bose: XREAL One is fitted with a unique sound chamber design with new acoustic components, professionally tuned by Bose engineers. Enjoy high-quality audio without the need for additional headphones—whether you’re gaming, watching movies, or on a call.
- Bright Sunlight? No Problem. Always See Clearly – Indoors, Outdoors, Anytime: With up to 700 nits of brightness, XREAL One Pro’s display stays crisp and easy to see indoors or under bright sunlight. Advanced electrochromic dimming lets you instantly adjust the lens tint, so you can stay aware of your surroundings or block out distractions for total immersion—putting you in control of your viewing experience in any environment.
- Quick & Easy Settings Adjustments for Every Activity: Whether you’re switching from gaming to email or jumping from a movie to a meeting, quick one-tap controls on the XREAL One Pro let you instantly adjust brightness, display mode, screen size or distance—right from the glasses. Customizable shortcuts keep your most-used settings at your fingertips, so your AR environment can adapt seamlessly to whatever you’re doing next.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ As long as your USB C has DP output, these are just simply plug an play!
*by P***R on November 5, 2025*

4 Stars for now, as I've only had them for a full day. Once I unlock the full potential, that may go up. To preface this, I'm only using these for watching movies, YouTube videos, an especially gaming. 1. Wow! These are incredible! I can honestly say these will already replace my multiple monitor setup. That's HUGE for me, as I plan on living the #VanLife soon, an every square inch is coveted. These are like being in a near-IMAX theatre, an I'm already playing around with converting videos an games to 3d content. 2. Brightness. I don't even need to have the chromatic display as dark as setting 3. Setting 2 is just fine, as I'm normally working/playing in a dim/dark environment anyway. Setting 3/full darkness is the best for immersion in mine environ. 3. X1 Chip a game changer. Can pin in place or have the view follow. For other glasses, you'd need a seperate dongle for this feature, though I will admit, when in follow mode an as horizontal as you can get, when you switch to pin mode, it will skew one way or the other, right or left. Just have to play around with it, but no big deal. 4. I wear contacts, so I don't know how these work with inserts, but the software IPD works just fine. I find no blurriness in anything but the largest virtual screen possible, at the closest to the "screen". 5. I've been in these glasses all day since 11:00am. It is now nearly 9pm, an I feel no nausea, eyestrain, or any other discomfort other than having to take them off maybe every hour an a half, as the bridge does get warm. Not hot, not uncomfortable, just slightly warm. Besides, with ANY screen, you should always take breaks. 6. The included plastic faux frame? Not sure what that's for. It kept seperating from the glasses slightly. Magnetic? Maybe not so powerful, but I took that off anyway, as it doesn't do a thing. Perhaps there are darker shades for this purpose? Not sure, but don't care. 7. Price. This is a doozy. I've been saving for months for something like these or the Virture glasses, an while I'm not disappointed, it is a vast financial pill to swallow. I hope they stand up to the test of time. 8. The bows/arms. At first I was scared to adjust them, as they feel like they can break. They might have as I was trying, but you have to adjust them at the very farthest point, near the glasses themselves, an not at the back of the silver part, which you would logically think the fulcrum would be. Luckily, I figured that out quickly. Overall, I'm so happy I took the plunge. They work amazingly! I would have liked to have waited until someone came up with a 1440p OLED version, but to be honest, I don't really see much in terms of fidelity on these anyway. They work great! My only gripe is that there will always be something better next year, an the year after that. If you are waiting for the perfect pair, they'll never arrive. If you want something now that just works, these are the ones! Plug an play, no dongles or anything else, as long as your device has USB-C with DP output. I'm only using these as a desktop replacement for my laptop, an my Sager has Thunderbolt 4, so it just detected as another monitor.
