I work with disabled people, creating a dummy self-checkout system with a bar code scanner to train people how to be their own cashier. With this printer, they get a paper receipt which is an important consideration these days.

I would give it 5 stars for the price, if there was some way to make it STOP BEEPING every time something prints. It's loud and obnoxious, and the "instructions" are a joke. I wrote to the email listed in them and was told I had to contact a different company, so I did WITH NO RESPONSE. Amazon replaced the product. (all I could assume from the minimal instruction sheet was that the print head was overheating), but the new one does exactly the same thing. I will be returning the product because I can't have that obnoxious noise going off all the time. Additionally, it comes with a driver cd/dvd. My computer doesn't even HAVE one of those. The website is NOT SECURE, so my antivirus program put up quite a fight for me to even get the driver. Highly suspicious.

For the price, this is a good receipt printer. It prints quickly with auto cutter. That's all we need, so for us it works quite well.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Print quality was barely decent i would not recommend this printer and remember you get what you pay for! Pay less = get less Wasted time = cost you $$ Value for money: Poor Value for the money

If you have a retail business, besides the standard items you need to open, you will need a receipt printer. As they say, cash is dead - everywhere I go in my southeastern area of the country, I operate with the almighty credit card. I remember when stores would have a limit on how much you had to buy if you wanted to use a credit card. Now, people buy a candy bar with a credit or debit card. So whether your sales system requires a signature on every sale or not, you need these receipt printers to operate day-to-day. This version gives us a quick and clearly printed thermal receipt to present to people for their records. We are pleased with this unit and recommend it to others.
