Great RC Truck For Adults and Young Kids With The Ability To Grow With Them.
I bought this for my son's 4th birthday present. After doing research on several different brands (MJX Hyper Go, ARRMA) and models, I decided this was a good choice for him. I wanted something under $150, something he can grow with and something he can just bash and not really have to care much about breaking it easily. Like all young boys, he likes fast, big (to him) trucks and he likes to jump ramps. This Rlaarlo ROG1 fits the bill for him. When we took it out of the box, the parts of the truck, all look of high quality, but we needed to take it out for a bash to really test it. The RC remote was okay, except for the steering wheel which is just plastic and not foam wrapped. This is an oversight and cheapens the entire package of the truck. It just made the steering wheel cheap and slippery. I ended up buying foam grip on Amazon and installing it on the remote (see pictures). The RC remote fit fine in my 4 year old's hands, although he really don't know how to hold it correctly anyways even though I showed him. On a recent trip, we took it to a park with mix terrain from grass to gravel to dirt to asphalt. It handled all of that. The great thing about the ROG1, especially for a young kid like mine, is the ability to dial down the throttle to as low as 25%. Let's be honest, he's too young to control this thing at 100% and at 25% he can manage to enjoy playing with the truck without it just darting everywhere. Another great thing about this truck is that I can flip it back over right side up if it ever turtles, just by rocking the car back and forth on the throttle a few times. No need to go walk over and flip the car back on its tires. This saves a lot of time and annoyance. At 100% throttle power, this truck goes very fast. So fast that it'll just pull a wheelie if you don't gradually increase the speed and just gun it from the start. Steering the truck at 100% is a learning curve. While it is very agile, at full throttle, it would take some practice for a beginner to control the vehicle. While we did not run the truck to 0% battery life. We were able to get a good hour or so of run before it got dark out. I then took it out after a hike and ran it at the parking lot of the trailhead. Overall, I was very impressed with this truck. For a young kid like mine, the ability to set the throttle to 25% allows him to enjoy playing with it. And then as he grows, he can up the throttle speed and also we can tinker with any part upgrades etc in the future. Side note, I was so impressed with the Rlaarlo that I bought the Omni Terminator Carbon version for myself and can't wait to take both of these trucks out to have some RC trucks father and son time.

Wow
After doing research and found this brand. I like how it’s not like hyper go and have to remove 20 screws to get to the motor mount. This one has an adjustable one! Brushless motor! And a 3s battery for $160! ($40 coupon at the time) Nice size tires and has a metal under carriage. Come on now!! My arrma granite is nice but this kinda takes the cake for the fact that it’s the same $ as my brushed grom and it has a brushless motor and 3s battery. Can’t wait to see its full potential when bashing. Steering seems super fast and responsive and does wheelies like no other. Great product if you wanna get into rc and not worry about upgrades to “go fast” Edit- 11/15/24 broke 2 axles shafts and snapped the lower control arm pin. Easy fixes for both. Got it up to 60mph on a 30t pinion. Still a great truck. Wish they offered upgraded axles tho. They need to be thicker

The seller is unresponsive
Truck was fast, but breaks easily. Screw that fastens to the shock tower constantly pops out and the camber links are plastic and also breaks fairly easy. Every battery I ran, something broke. I was able to fix it the first few times with things I had on hand, but once I needed actual parts and attempted to contact the seller, I got NO REPLY. After a couple of attempts, I contacted Amazon who offered to send me a replacement. I get the replacement within 24 hours, but the replacement was defective. Only 2 wheels moved and its supposed to be 4 wheel drive. I then returned both the original and the replacement. It's now been over a month and I have yet to hear from the seller and still haven't received my refund. I will NEVER purchase from this seller again

Its a decent rc basher
I bought this little rlaarlo gladiator for my son and it worked good but was too fast for him even in slow mode. but I went to loosened the spring nut on the slipper clutch and it bent the shaft so easily so I decided to return the rc truck and got the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator instead which is a little bigger than the gladiator and has a center differential and the best part is you can slow down the truck 25% vs the gladiator 50% and the rog1 has the cheap slipper clutch but tbh it's really not that bad. I'm actually thinking of buying the rog1 again and keep it for myself.

Fun, but I wouldn't say durable
This RC truck is very fast and fun to drive, but not as durable as I would have thought. Pros: Drives fast and straight, and I enjoyed the light bar when using at dusk. You can get parts directly through the manufacturer, but paying shipping costs that are as much as the part is not fun. Cons: Given the marketing on this truck it's touted as very tough. My first time driving it, probably 10 minutes worth I brought it inside only to find the rubber that holds the R clips in the front to have ripped off. No big deal I thought, I can live without it attached to the body. By the third time using it the light bar was falling out, I had to put it back in place and tried to glue it down so it would stay. One day I took it to a dirt bike track, and flew it off some jumps. Afterwards I found both of the frames that hold the shocks and body mounts got bent. This also broke the body shell as the back mount moved enough to rip the "cargo box" that holds the frame mounts. I was able to take it apart and bend the frame parts back to a point that was good enough to run again. Lastly, with probably less than 10 times using the truck, my son accidentally hit the tire of my car and it broke the front steering hub. This was unrepairable by me and had to order parts to fix. I bought this to have fun playing with my kids when they are using theirs. I'm no professional RC driver and maybe that's the problem, but I didn't expect this many things to go wrong so quickly. My sons $50 Deerrc truck has been treated way worse for far longer and withstood the beatings, so I expected this to not be so fragile.
