Best budget 5g Router.
I live off-grid and was previously using a TP 4G MiFi box. Download speeds were around 40 Mbps during the day but dropped to about 3 Mbps after 8 pm. I wanted a 5G router upgrade, and most portable 5G MiFi routers start at around £140. This 5G WiFi router was a no-brainer — for similar money it offers features usually found on £400+ home routers. The router arrived well packaged and included a power adapter, Ethernet cable, and SIM router unit. Setup was very easy. I’m using a SMARTY 5G SIM, and it worked immediately. This SIM card router connected all my devices quickly with a strong, stable signal. The 5G mobile broadband speeds were unbelievable compared to my old 4G LTE router — a massive improvement in both download speed and performance. I’ll update this review after a month of real-world use, but so far this 5G WiFi router for home and off-grid use has been excellent. If anyone is wondering this uses a usb C 20v DV for it's power supply. So I'm using an inverter to make it work on my setup.

Great router — looks new and works perfectly!
Great router — looks new and works perfectly! No issue after 2 weeks of usage. The EE Smart Hub 5G arrived in excellent condition — it looks completely brand new, not renewed or used. Setup was incredibly easy: it took less than a minute after inserting the nano SIM and turning it on. No extra configuration was needed, and it was ready to use right away. I’m using an EE SIM and getting around 350 Mbps indoors, which is exactly the speed I expected. I also tried a 1PMobile SIM (which uses the EE network), and it worked fine. I haven’t tested it with any other non‑EE networks, so I can’t comment on compatibility there. The only downside is the included instruction sheet — it’s just a small piece of paper and not very helpful. But you can easily find the full manual online if needed. Overall, no complaints at all — it’s a high‑quality router that does exactly what it promises.

Best 5G router !!
Brought this router a month ago. No problem till now, speed from this 5G router is excellent and WiFi coverage is great as well. Easy to setup and works with every sim card. Got a speed more than 400 Mbps. Totally worth it !!!

Works with poor signal.
This unit was put up in an area that has moderate 5G coverage. It operates fine even though the signal can fluctuate quite a lot. Getting around -95dBm. I can stream 4K content but occasionally it will buffer but 1080p works well. Internal wifi is quick and stable. Easy to setup and I did use Cat 8 cables to connect peripherals. Very happy.

Unstable
Wouldnt maintain a stable 5g or 4g connection even though im next to a mast, this was a wired PC connection, Kept kicking me out of games and the LAG was bad. Going back to the Zyxel NR5103e. Returns process easy & simple. Its a shame as the rest of the device worked okay and was able to connect my 54 devices.

Reasonable replacement for wired broadband, with some compromises
1: It does work. Just about. Although the online set-up page is a PITA and it’s not at all obvious which words are clickable commands. 2: I have had to re-set it dozens of times, as a result of which I have had to give up on giving it a custom network name and password. It was too much trouble constantly having to re-set all my connected devices with the new network information. Now I just leave it with its ‘I have no connection’ lights flashing away and it seems to work just as well as when it’s just been re-set and they’re not flashing. So - passably stable, on its default settings, but not ideal if security is paramount. 3: For some reason which I have been unable to fathom (despite endless experimentation), it gorges data, so I have had to buy an unlimited SIM, because it was just burning through 100GB in well under a month (even with everything disconnected), despite the fact that when I was tethering to my mobile I used less than 30GB a month. I suspect devices may be set up to download software updates when connected to WiFi, but not when they’re connected to a HotSpot, but I could be wrong. 4: I’m on GiffGaff which uses the O2 network, but get slower speeds than my phone (which is on actual O2). We’re right on the edge of an O2 5G coverage area (a small rural town), so it is challenged, but it’s nothing like the speeds some people seem to get. It’s good enough for multiple users and streaming (usually 20–40Mbps, depending on where in the house it’s placed), despite that being a bit slower than our wired internet was. It costs less and is on a Pay-monthly contract through, which is what I wanted.

Very good wireless network coverage
Works as expected. Delivered next day. Currently using Three network data SIM. Automatically created APN was connected at 40mbps. Had to create APN to connect over 200mbps. Best part is the WiFi network coverage. Never managed to have whole house coverage with other ISP provided router.
