When I first tried spinning this it did not move smoothly and would get stuck . I inspected it and found that the plastic molding had a spot in the rail with some excess plastic . I used a razor knife and trimmed it off and then it worked smoothly . It is an easy fix but should be noted that their plastic molding had this flaw. I also noticed that handle you hold had not had the two pieces glued together in perfect alignment. This did not effect the operation of the reel but just shows the quality of the work has not a lot of care. Who knows how many of these a worker must produce each day and perhaps that is the reason for lack of detail. I don't want to complain because this is a very inexpensive item that I will use to roll up electric fencer wire. I would get another one for the price it is a good deal if not expected to do a lot of heavy work.

I bought 3 of these for my loose cables and a 25ft air compressor hose I own. Pros: It works. It's cheap. It does what I wanted. Cons: It's cheap. You need to make some immediate alterations for it to even work. When unpackaged, the reel won't fully spin with the black inner handle due to machining quality when it was made. There are small residual plastic stick-outs in the track that weren't cleaned up and keep the inner handle from sliding. You can cut these out with any simple knife and maybe sand it down a little to make the slide smoother. Next as I began reeling my cable to it I noticed the handle getting looser. They hadn't tightened down the bolts enough and the nut on the inside of the reel handle loosens itself immediately. You can tighten this with a Phillips screwdriver. I recommend pressing the screwdriver hard to the screw (it may not fit into the space so mine was at an angle) and then tighten it by turning the handle. I could tighten it way more that way. After cleaning up, they work totally fine. All three of them needed it so I'm guessing this is just a poor manufacturing process with very little QC.

I have one previously annoying 100' extension cord and now this makes it so easy to store with no tangles.

I have used these for several years now to keep my Christmas lights organized. They live in a hot Florida attic most of the year and hold up perfectly with zero issues.

I didn't realize this reel was smaller than "standard" ones I've seen before, but the size is actually perfect to store 50 feet of flat backwash hose (approx. 2.25 inches wide) for my pool. The smaller reel diameter is better for storing that than the larger size would have been. The width of the reel fits my flat hose comfortably. In fact, for the sake of those out there who use a full 100-foot backwash hose, I wrapped another 50 feet around the reel to show how a 100 foot hose might fit - you're welcome! :) As to the construction of the reel, as other reviews have mentioned, it's not a high quality build. The knob handle was looser than I would like. The center reel black holder doesn't slide perfectly smooth due to some small plastic burs here and there. BUT, the one I got, at least, is usable as shipped, and the size and shape is perfect for my purpose, so for <$10 I'm not going to complain!

Satisfait! Avec la « manivelle » ça tourne un peu carré, mais avec la bonne twist dans le poignet, ça roule assez bien. Je l’utilise pour enrouler mon tuyau de piscine (tuyau à « backwash ») de 100 pieds de long qui est plus épais et de meilleur qualité que ceux vendus dans les magasin . Une sorte de tuyau blanc aussi acheté sur Amazon en un matériau qui ressemble à un tuyau de pompier. La largeur de la bobine est bonne pour le tuyau et une fois qu’il est enroulé en quelques dizaines de secondes (contrairement à plusieurs minutes avant d’avoir ce produit) le diamètre du rouleau déborde de celui de la bobine, mais d’assez peu pour ne pas que ce soit un problème(je l’avais prévu, c’est pourquoi je n’ai pas pris un modèle sur patte). Avant, c’était une corvée de rouler le tuyau , maintenant c’est presqu’un jeu ! (Pour le moment , évidemment)
