Great inverter Mig welder for the price
Got this as a used product as an Amazon Warehouse deal for £219 (Vs £320 new). Arrived on time and item works perfectly! Came with all the things it should have and after a careful close inspection it was clear that it had been used once or twice but to be honest I couldn't find anything wrong with it. After using one of these at my friends house I was hooked on how good it was compared to my old transformer Mig welder with next to no adjustments. This one is fully variable between 16.5v & 26.5v and wire speed adjustable from 0 to 13 M/min, but both adjustments are on a 0 to 10 scale so you'll need to work out what 0 to 10 means for yourself. 0 on the wire speed setting is an actual 0 speed, which is helpful when purging the hose with gas before you start the first weld. After watching some vids on YouTube etc I decided to strip the machine down and take all the covers off to inspect it all for damage and loose connections etc. As others have found the gas hose connection at the solenoid inside the case leaked a bit but this was soon tweaked up with a spanner. I've done a couple of mods to it as well to improve usability, the first was to replace the barb gas connection at the rear of the unit with a push fit 4mm plastic hose connection so I can easily use it with either disposable Mig gas bottles or use a larger bottle with a proper regulator that also outputs to a 4mm plastic pipe. Another mod was to fit a 24v changeover switch to the wire feed motor so that I could reverse the direction of the wire to spool it back in before disconnecting the welding hose and gun for storage, otherwise its a bit of a pain to either cut the wire and waste 2m of it or try to manually get it back on the spool. Works fine with the supplied 13a plug, but Ive changed that over to a more substantial Commando style industrial plug on a 20A breaker in the consumer unit. Don't bother trying to read or use the digital voltage or amps readout as with all other types of this welder these only work while welding and they just fluctuate wildly in use depending on what you are doing, and you need to be watching the weld not the display.Niggles include the Main ON/OFF switch is on the rear of the unit which is a bit awkward to reach with welding gloves on. Also nowhere to store a disposable gas bottle for easy transporting. Not used it as a stick welder yet, but works great as a gas Mig welder.Overall though, a lovely welder for the price, simple to use and set up once you understand what each of the controls do (beginners should watch YouTube videos on how to set up any Mig welder first).Highly recommended.manual available at: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1773016/Rohr-Mig-250mi.html#manual

Great machine great value
Bought this machine based on other peoples reviews am middle restoring a wee classic car and was using my hobbie clarke 160mig which I had for years I used to weld in an exhaust factories in my younger days and this new welder just remind me of quality machine I would used back then no harm to the clarke mig but I now realise how much a cheap piece of crap they are. Yesturday evening i welded light metal grass flat on a lawn mower and it welded lovely and clean and am on lower volts to come out a light lead from house to work shop and it worked a treat very impressed with the performance just hope it lasts the test of time I not be using it every day just for hobbies but great have a powerful machine like it.

Great welder, especially at this price.
I had a chartered engineer for Mitsubishi come over and teach me to weld on this machine, and he said it was great. Clean, straight lines, when settings are properly adjusted, and extremely light weight. The same Clarke or Miller MIG welder weighs in at about 50 kilos. This thing weighs 17 kilos all in the package. (Add the weight of your spool and gas canister for the total setup)The fact that it's got MMA in there is handy as well. Since it's portable, you might not always be able to get gas (depending how far you travel). Also, I've got it on a 10 amp extension lead, and haven't experienced any loss of power or heat on the wires, meaning the inverter type i/o system is working well. I expected to require a 30a cable, but the 10a one is actually fine. Good deal all around. My chassis is happy too.I should mention that there is customer service, and they are really responsive, if you need them.

Great piece of kit for a beginner
I attempted to learn welding a few years ago using a very cheap ARC machine. I got so frustrated with the results that I gave up :-(Wanting to learn the skills again for some projects that I currently have I did quite a bit of research on different budget units, and I decided this Rohr welder was best suited to my requirements. The machine arrived quickly, well packaged and was easy to set up. I suspect the instructions are a translation (as a lot are now) and therefore are not great, but a quick call to Union-Mart resolved the one query I couldn't figure out. There is plenty of useful info online to help with setup and welding technique, and within a couple of hours my practice welds became much better than my many attempts with the stick welder from a few years ago. I have now completed my first project with the unit, and am very happy with the results (given that I'm a self taught novice). For info, my main use of this machine at the moment is Gasless MIG welding so that is the only function on the machine that I have used. The machine also does Gas MIG and Stick ARC welding, but I cannot comment on those. All in all, very pleased.

Broke after an hour of use
I was very impressed with this welder for the first hour. No problems striking an ark, plenty of power. Good control of power and feed speed, Good build quality, nice accessories (apart from the mask ha ha). But, that's when my problems began. The circuit breaker for my shed tripped out, I swopped over to a house socket supplied by a C32 breaker and same problem. As soon as I turn welder on using the rear switch the MCB trips out.Something has gone wrong with the welder. Initially I get a message from Union Mart telling me that it's my problem and I should consult an electrician. If I want to return I will need to pay for postage, and once they receive the welder back with absolutely no damage they will consider reimbursing the purchase cost (but not the postage). After contacting Union Mart again through the amazon App, they agreed to issue a return paid label. Two weeks on, and they have now refunded my purchase. Moral of the story... Always keep the packaging.
