The microphone looks like it could be very good quality, and the packaging is absolutely beautiful — very well-presented. It really gives a premium first impression. However, there is a major downside. The microphone comes without a receiver, and without it, it doesn’t actually connect to an iPhone. Even though the instructions mention Bluetooth, in reality it doesn’t work that way. I checked the cost of the receiver, and on top of that you also need to buy a separate Lightning adapter. Altogether, these additional items would cost around 300 AED, which makes it far too expensive. Because of this, I decided to return the microphone.

La qualità dell’audio è ottima e uno degli aspetti che ho apprezzato di più è la semplicità di utilizzo. La connessione con la mia Osmo 6 è stata davvero immediata e non ho dovuto perdere tempo con configurazioni complicate. Lo trovo particolarmente comodo proprio perché posso utilizzarlo velocemente quando devo realizzare un video, anche per lavoro, ottenendo un audio decisamente migliore senza complicarmi la registrazione. Per la mia esperienza è un accessorio che completa molto bene la Osmo 6 e sono pienamente soddisfatto dell’acquisto.

Einmal die helle Version, die wir neben 4 schwarzen Mic-Mini nutzen. Meine Frau wollte sie in weis, also habe ich sie bestellt. Das Mic-Mini ist für den geboteten Klang und die einwandfreie Funktion ein Muss für die Nutzung von Actionkameras, aber es funktioniert auch mit den meisten Smartphones. Auch mit meinem PC lässt es sich per Bluetooth verbinden und macht einen guten Job. Mit nur 8 Gramm Gewicht und etwa 8 Stunden Dauerbetrieb ist es für uns eines der besten Funkmikrofone am Markt. Insbesondere für den Preis, den DJI dafür verlangt.

I previously tested the black version of this Mic Mini transmitter and am now reviewing the Arctic White version. In practical terms, the only meaningful difference between the two is the colour. The transmitter, accessories, operation, audio performance and compatibility are otherwise the same, so my experience with this white version essentially confirms what I found with the black one. The transmitter itself is impressively small and light. Once clipped to clothing, it is much less noticeable than larger wireless microphones I've used, and the included magnet gives another convenient way to position it. For recording while walking or moving around, the low weight is a genuine advantage because it doesn't pull noticeably on a shirt. Pairing it directly with a compatible Osmo device is where I find this version particularly useful. Not needing a separate receiver simplifies the setup considerably: fewer pieces to carry, fewer cables and less equipment attached to the camera. Once connected, it makes for a very compact recording setup. Audio quality has also been very good in my testing. Voice recordings sound noticeably cleaner and more focused than relying on the camera's built-in microphone, particularly when the camera isn't immediately in front of me. The noise reduction is useful when there is background noise, although I prefer not to use stronger processing unless the environment actually requires it, as the more natural recording is preferable when conditions are already quiet. As with the black version, I also appreciate that the package isn't literally just the transmitter. Who it is not for Someone expecting this configuration to be a complete conventional wireless microphone system with a dedicated receiver, or anyone whose equipment isn't compatible with the transmitter on its own. Durability / Build / Value perspective The white transmitter feels identical in construction to the black version I previously tested, which is exactly what I expected. The direct Osmo integration remains the feature that makes it especially useful in my setup, although longer use will still be necessary to assess battery longevity and the durability of the charging and mounting components. Final verdict (TL;DR) This is essentially the same excellent Mic Mini I previously tested in black, with the colour being the only meaningful difference. The white version delivers the same compact design, very good audio and convenient direct Osmo integration, so choosing between the two really comes down to appearance.

Honestly, this has been one of the best purchases i've made. Pairs instantly with my Osmo Action 4 and is all i'll ever need. I'm making solo content, so this is more than enough, lightweight and very small. The dynamic range on it excellent too. If you're making solo content, this is an outstanding purchase and leaves the inbuilt mic for dead. Grab it!
