Same functioning as our original all chrome design, but now with a Matte Black scale ("handle"). Nice looking finish adds texture to what would be smooth surface on chrome finish. Also has a great contrast to the chrome blade. Price difference is only because of the extra processes to achieve Matte Black finish. I shave with both hands and haven't had any trouble with the screw dragging while shaving lefty. If you look on the company's website you can find replacement parts for everything which I appreciate. So far the shaves have been delightful. It may seem pricy but I think it's worth it. Mine came with a leather case, a keychain screw driver and some stickers in the box.

Well worth the price
I know you can probably find cheaper chevettes on here on Amazon, but they will not be the same. The shaving experience you get with the Irving razor is just uncomparable. Sanitation Concerns
Not a fan of the Logo etched rusted blade screw head. Concerns of rust running onto the blade and causing infections.

Great idea, cheap finish.
The handle is very cheap and the color fades out in a few weeks of use. Everyone I know and I recommend to buy this razor they have the same problem.
