These are THE BEST birthday cake protein bars hands down! One protein bc protein bars used to be my favorite, but the quality control on them took a significant downturn over the last year. I’ve been searching for a replacement for sometime and THESE HIT! They taste the saaaaame HIGH QUALITY PERFECTION EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The ingredients are Much cleaner than most, the flavor is amazing and the little pops of crispness mixed with the lil creaminess on top are just qualities that make this sooooo satisfying!!!! THANK YOU, Barebells!!!!

It tastes pretty good, I guess. I suppose I was expecting it to taste like a candy bar because of all the 5 star reviews on here basically saying it does. It tastes like a protein bar, lol. What I feel the best about is knowing that it has 20g of protein.

Sits comfortably between not nasty in any sort of way, but also far from tasty; which i guess is perfect for getting the macros without over indulging. But if you are looking for it to be a semi-healthy treat, there are a couple other companies that do it way better.

I enjoyed it, however some of the birthday pieces were incredibly hard which ruined it for me. If you get ones that are soft it’s a 10/10 bar but unfortunately mine were hard even straight out of the package.

Before you decide to seek another protein bar, just be aware that the CHOCOLATE DOUGH and cookies and cream are delicious. Emphasis on the first, on purpose. But. The birthday cake. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or they were stored poorly prior to arrival, but my goodness. I took one bite and immediately wretched. They taste like spoiled milk. A milk pint left in the back seat of a car in August for weeks. Terrible. I got these because I was out of the ones I usually get and like, and have these as on the go work snacks. The other flavors were two weeks out and I generally like birthday cake flavors. I WISH I WOULD HAVE JUST WAITED. Because now I have to anyway. Just wait if there isn't a two day option for a different flavor. The reason the birthday cake ones are readily available is because they are horrendous and most likely no one gets them twice. Stick to chocolate dough or cookies and cream. Those will make you so, so happy and satisfied. The birthday cake ones will make you wish you had burned off all of your taste buds prior to consumption.
