Should it be refrigerated after opening?

It doesn't say so on the jar, but I believe advice to refrigerate exists on all jars of American tehina. I go through a jar about every 2-3 weeks. I don't refrigerate, and it won't deteriorate in that time frame. But it will go rancid by 6-8 weeks after opening.

Is the jar (when new) sealed under the lid?

Yes, sealed with aluminum foil.

What is the expiration date?

It is at the least, April 2019.

Can I use this tahini for making halvah?
