Quality video and a decent app
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the video from this camera and the app it very intuitive and easy to follow.I do like the idea where this literally screws in to an existing light fitting (E27) and from that aspect the camera itself is not immediately obvious. However, do keep in mind the "light switch" will need to kept on the whole time. The only fly in the ointment is the advertised photographs. A lot seem to suggest this can be fitted on a patio or under the eaves of a garage. This camera is definitely NOT weather resistant and is for indoor use only.Novel idea but you will need a socket with permanent power.

light bulb camera
This light bulb camera disguises itself as a bulb, I use it in my hall and is good for security as you can barely see it. It has a 355-degree moving rotation and it comes with a E27 base. It easily adapts. The motion detection works well and detects the slightest movements.

Quick setup without the need for additional wiring
This camera is a PTZ night vision camera with RTSP capabilities and a reasonably good mobile app.The camera itself has a decent digital sensor that can display a high definition image. During testing, I was able to use the digital zoom from a floor standing lamp and read the text on a Kindle display from around 4 feet away whilst using the digital zoom. Whilst that doesn’t sound like being too far away, it is text from a book, so person features can easily be recognised from a reasonable distance.Setup was very easy. Scanning the QR code from the instruction leaflet takes you directly to the V380 Pro app for installation. The signup process requires only your email address and setting a password. There’s no collection of unnecessary personal information to get up and running. The connection to the camera is initially done via Bluetooth without the need to pair in the settings first, then entering your 2.4GHz WiFi details via the app to program the camera with the necessary information for ethernet connection. The app is free to use for general monitoring and playback from an installed MicroSD card, but there are subscription options available for ‘Cloud’ recording and online storage. It’s pretty solid although lacks some basic features, such as the option to deactivate the night vision function (if installed behind a glass shade fitting it causes reflection). For more advanced installations and recording via local DVR’s, the cameras do support ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) as well as audio/video connections via RTSP using the IP address assigned to the camera and using the standard 554 port. Very few camera manufacturers allow access via this protocol in an effort to enforce the cloud storage ecosystem, but for me this is a huge positive as I favour cameras that support this standardised protocol as it fits into my installation seamlessly. The party piece of this camera is the ability to use an already fitted E27 screw bulb fitting for providing an easy source of power for the camera. There is a very basic E27 socket fitting if you need to specifically fit a new installation which requires very basic electrical knowledge, although caution should be taken when working with live electrical installations. The worst feature of this camera is the light. It’s an indicator light at best because it is pretty useless at lighting up an area of any usefulness. It will draw attention to the area for acting as a deterrent. This can be set to auto activation, on or off, and there are timer options available too.Personally I like these cameras. They are a quick plug ’n play option and can be up and running realistically within ten minutes from unboxing to viewing the footage. Five stars from me.

Good featured camera
YnGia Light Bulb Camera 1080p arrived well-packed. It is very easy to install and came with an E27 adapter. It has an SD card slot that supports up to 128GB (not included). It features motion detection and two-way audio. The app is very easy to use, and the video quality is very clear. This camera provides extra security and is a good value for the money.
