Solid tool
This is a solid tool, designed and built for its intended purpose. The head seated well and had no problem cutting through shale and dry clay. For me it is well worth the money.

High-Quality Materials manganese steel, and fiberglass handle.
The VNIMTI “Pick Axe for Digging, Heavy Duty Pickaxe with Shock Absorbing Handle, 36 Inches” is a great tool. After breaking several wooden handles, I prefer a non-wooden handle. This handle seems to be sturdy enough for my wild side. As with all other pick axes, the handle wedges into the end of the handle. This fit snuggly after I slammed it down on the concrete several times. It has a good weight to it and feels sturdy in my hands. I have not wrestled with any roots to test the handle, which is how I broke the handles in the past.

Does what is supposed to
This pick ax is heavy like it was supposed to be to do the job. Better for a guy, a bit heavy for a gal

If you have rocky soil like we do in NW Arkansas, this tool is great.
I lent my pick axe to someone who never returned it. Bought this one to replace it. Works really well.
