I purchased this and after running 10 gallons of water through the filter my glass of water is still to cloudy to see through. Please help!

I also had to run water thru this filter AT LEAST OR MORE 10 gallons of water before became SOMEWHAT UNCLOUDY

Why would I buy this filter instead of a cheaper one?

I've used cheaper filters and they tend to clog up which stops water flow and I have to change out the filter sooner. No cheaper in the long run.

Good filter, but expesive...

I'm surprised I've never reviewed these before because I've been using them for years. We have a simple whole-house filter, but when the city water tastes like algae, our refrigerator water tastes good. For some times if year, we use refrigerator water for coffee and drinking, as the tap water is too... green. SO, bottom line is that the filter is good as a last defense, and it takes out tastes that our whole-house filter doesn't. A guy who used to work for Whirlpool told me that within the company it was said that all the profit in refrigerators, was in the water filters. Disgusting. I'd go for a generic replacement.
