Solar Bug Zapper, 4500V Electric Grid Mosquito Killer for Patio

As you can see it works quite well. This is after about 6 weeks of continuous use in the summer (Since beginning of July), through countless thunderstorms. It’s definitely weather proof. The stakes it goes into the ground hold it firmly in place in wind gusts up to 40 mph. It’s definitely weather proof. The photo isn’t a month’s worth of insects to be clear that’s after about 2-3 days of operation. You do need to clean it out regularly. The little brush they give you for cleaning it is useless though it’s best to just use a compressed air duster (like you use to clean out inside a computer.). That works great for blowing the dead insects out of the device in a few seconds.I see no reason why it won’t continue to work for a long time. Again, it’s been through a lot of severe weather and works most of the night. Then charges back up during the day. I’ve also noticed a reduction in pest insects around our house too. Even some lantern flies got zapped which is good. You can’t tell from the photo but it definitely kills mosquitoes and also Japanese beetles seem to be killed by it. Moths too, not sure if that’s a benefit or not. Doesn’t seem to attract or kill regular house flies though so you’d probably need something else if they are a problem for you.Definitely recommend.

Great product for the price. Works very well at helping keep the bugs away! It’s held up to heavy rain, heat, and with a few hours of direct sun it keeps its charge for the night!

We live in mosquitoville and this Works like a champ. I sit on my screen porch and hear bugs being zapped all evening!

We have only used this one time, on our front porch. Mosquitoes love me so I am a freak about making sure our space is mosquito free. We also used a different mosquito thing, again, because I’m a freak about not having them around. What I did like about this was, as soon as the sun went down we started hearing the zapping of bugs dying at the hands of the blue light. We live in California, we don’t get the monster mosquitos the rest of the country gets…. Thank you Jesus! They are almost like the, No-see ‘ems. Those little tiger mosquitoes that you don’t know they’re biting you till they are almost done.We wanted to see how long the battery would last on this thing before we ventured out into the wilderness. It lasted at least 8 hrs. Could have been as much as 9 hrs, depending on who you talk to, me or my husband. I’m going with 8 hrs for sure. We weren’t up that long but if you’re throwing a party, this timeline will help you. As far as the distance accuracy of this unit, I cannot comment on. It was on our front porch wall. I think as affordable as it is, you’ll like it.I will give it 4 starts only because I did not have it out in a field, out in the open air where the mosquitoes are plentiful.AND…. It’s solar! It recharges itself, what could be better than that!

Ordered the bug zapper in march. Worked pretty good through the summer but now in September it just continues to zap constantly until it dies for how much it is I would’ve expected that lasted me a few years

I received my Zapper at about 2pm and immediately set it up in the backyard in minutes. I put the setting on Auto and left it. The sun sets around 8:30pm at my place right now, so it only got about 6 hours of a charge when the directions call for 10 hours.I checked the Zapper the next day and it had numerous moths and some unidentified bugs stuck in the screen. I used a miniature blower and it was cleaned in seconds, literally. The next day I had even more fried flying bugs stuck in the wires...Awesome. This thing zaps soo many bugs you literally need to blow out the screen every few days.I was very skeptical about this bug zapper because I have purchased different ones at local stores that won't even shock a gnat. But this Zapper is the real deal. Very effective, high quality, and great value in my opinion. I am soo impressed with the performance that I bought 2 more of them.

These work surprisingly well, still lit in the morning after a sunny day previous.
