Do not trust subpar fuels in your lighters. Xikar is a refined butane, works beautifully in torch lighters as well as regular lighters.

It's butane, I wouldn't say it's better or worse than any other can of butane, but it functions as a gas that burns in a torch. Or whatever other butane burning device you have I guess. I was able to fill my lighter without any issues or leaking, which is a huge plus. It didn't take any careful alignment, it was easy to just push on and fill. That said, the pictures are deceiving, and it's kinda hard to visualize what this can is gonna look like. It's small. Maybe half the size of your standard can at the hardware store/smoke shop. Therefore, it won't last long. And therefore, the value for the money is not quite there. Listen, I'm sure there's high quality and low quality. I'm sure this is a high quality one. The thing is, I think for 99% of people a lower quality will perform exactly the same. I'd save some money next time and just head to the smoke shop for the red and white can.

I smoke cigars and this is the only brand of butane that burns clean, and literally doesn't smell bad (which affects the taste of a cigar). It's substantially more expensive than Ronson, etc., but well worth it.
