Pumps fuel fine, but no accuracy to the meter whatsoever

The pump was easy to install and works great, but perhaps I chose the wrong one. I have a tractor with a 13+ gallon tank, and I'm tired of lifting heavy 5 gallon diesel jugs and spilling it all over the place, so I bought this pump. I have a few various jugs for the fuel, but the pickup line on this pump has a filter on it... good idea. Problem is, of all my various jugs the filter will only fit down through the opening of one, and I can't find any more being produced now with the wide mouth needed... about 2.4". Maybe I just overbought. The 16 gal/min flow rate is way way over anything you've ever seen at a gas station. Think about that: At that flow rate, it wouldn't take but a minute, or a minute and a half, to fill up an empty car. Maybe if I'd bought a slower flow rate I wouldn't need such a large filter on the pickup line. Maybe the manufacturer will have an answer.

The hose should be 20' long, but there is no option to put it on, but the equipment is very good

Pump worked well for about 600 gal of diesel although very loud. Then it just quit pumping. The motor runs but will not pump any fuel. It's primed, but no fuel. Dissatisfied with the longevity of the product
