My sister and I had a chance to visit Uji last year. We attended some traditional tea ceremonies and tasted various exquisite matcha. That trip definitely set a high bar! So, I was genuinely pleased to find this HAYASHIYA Fuji matcha available here – it really hits the mark for authentic quality. First off, the color is that vibrant, deep green you look for in a good first-harvest ceremonial grade. It's a super fine powder and whisks up beautifully smooth. Taste-wise, it strikes a wonderful balance. It's got that lovely smoothness, a noticeable savory umami depth, and a natural sweetness that lingers just right. Honestly, it reminds me strongly of the high-quality bowls I enjoyed in Uji. It's now my go-to morning cup at the office – literally the first thing I make when I get in (yes, I keep a proper whisk (chasen) and matcha bowl there).

Good value, Is similar to Naoki supreme blend in terms of aroma and astringency but froths better. Smooth and is bright green in appearance not as much as kettl matcha’s But better than most on amazon.

This matcha is great for the price! The color is a gorgeous dark green and has medium flavor. It leaves my mouth a little dry and it's not that sweet on my tongue. The matcha lingers around for a little before taking another sip. It smells and tastes more on the vegetal side. I prefer sweet creamy matchas but this is definitely not bad, especially for daily. It's perfect for regular matcha fans, beginners and matcha lovers alike. 😊

I’ve tried quite a few matcha powders and I’ll have to say this is one of my favorite so far. I’d say go for this if you’re looking for a good quality matcha powder for lattes. The matcha itself had a very grassy, vegetal, and somewhat earthy flavor, which makes sense since it’s essentially powdered tea leaves mixed with water. When you mix it with water, it becomes really thick and foamy, which adds a unique texture. I added oat milk and syrup and it was amazing! 10/10

I get my matcha from coworkers that travel to Japan and bring it back. I ran out and decided to try this one and it’s very good. I like tasting my matcha- no sweetener so I need it to have a delicious taste and this one is a great option.

The matcha powder it self is a great color! It froths not to badly. The taste it self I would say it has more of a bitterness to it, but it’s not a bad thing. Made as a latte with a sweeter it does taste good. For the price it is a good matcha powder
