Really nice banana plugs. They are physically heavy, with excellent build quality. Worthy of the Nakamichi name. I had some doubts they be appreciably better than generic versions. I was wrong. They are solid and have nice positive lockdown when you assemble them. A rubber ring keeps the barrel secure when seated. Plugs fit securely in my Onkyo receiver. I don’t think they will enhance sound over just crushing the copper wire right into the receptacles. But for ease of use and secure installation, these are a winner.

I’m by NO means an Audiophile but I got lucky and landed an excellent pair of McIntosh SL-4 FloorSpeakers from the 2010’s, and even though they came with a decent Monster Speaker Cable and some Banana Plugs , I always felt the system needed a Better 10 gauge Speaker wire and a Much better Banana Plugs so after extensive research I came across these Nagasaki Banana Plugs on Amazon for a fair price for the quality and confidence you get from these little Bullets, I ordered a pair to try & I loved them so much I ordered another pair , and will be ordering Nagasakis 12 gauge speaker cables as I have read Excellant reviews from this product too,What’s Next A Dragon?? ,Not on my budget but who knows? Worked much better than other banana plugs I’ve use in the past. Fast and secure connection. Solid fit. Cut the wire properly - take a few seconds to “mushroom” the wire - and you’ll have a secure fit. Very pleased.

The connectors look very nice and have a high-quality feel. Assembly is straightforward. Although the cable opening is large, very thick cables may need to have their insulation shaved some. Insertion into the jacks on my amp and speakers were very snug. I cannot comment on their electrical or sonic properties.

Purchased these to update my speaker connections when I replaced my surround system. Easy to use, quality construction, and a much better connection method.

I typically use Monoprice closed screw type banana plugs, but recently switched to using FosPower and GearIT dual set screw style plugs. The set screw style is the most forgiving when you start using lower gauge wire. The Monoprice plugs were just chewing up my fingers on the 12 awg wire. I decided to give these a shot because it's a decent brand and the there's a couple other plugs out there just like them (including an Amazon Basics plug). These are definitely worth their weight... The plugs are fairly heavy compared to all my others. They are also the easiest to assemble, didn't chew up my fingers, and played nice with my 12 AWG wire. However, the problem came when I actually plugged them into the banana plug sockets. I would say about 80% of them stay fully engaged in the socket. The others wanted to pull out about 40-60% from the weight of the cable. While this is a bit less than ideal, the plug still makes solid contact. The reason the plug is able to pull out is the how long pin's flared pieces are. I originally thought that would be good, but there's just not enough spring action to make it pop back out after being inserted. I ended up using a small knife to pry them up a bit. This has helped, but the plugs still pull out slightly.

These have a terrific way to attach to the cable. It's very secure, has a ton of surface contact between wire and the connector, and easy to attach -- takes just 30 seconds or so to put together if you have a wire stripper. I used 12 AWG wire, I think it can easily do 10. Just don't make the stripped area too large, it needs to tuck down into the recess not fold over onto the threads. My only complaint is a mild one -- the banana plug portion is too long, combined with the tapered portion of the plug, they stick out quite far. They are secure, they work fine that way, but they look a bit silly. I found that to be true on both speaker and the AVR. But overall I am just delighted with these, MUCH more secure and much better wire contact than the screw-into-stranded wire mess others are (I usually solder the wire first to have something more solid to screw into -- these need nothing, strip, cap, done).

These seem to be well-built and fit my needs on the amp end. I am using the Sewell Silverback 12AWG copper wire that is a true 12AWG, so larger than most sold claiming that guage. The wire portion fit very snugly in these. In addition, a good snug fit in both a Fosi V3 Mono and a 3e Audio A5. I probably will attach bare wire at the speaker end, so did not check fit. The Sewell wire also appears to be excellent.
