I bought the Magnetic version, well worth the added cost. The is a very well-built cycle, robust construction and very sturdy (even on carpet), while being easy to roll about. Surprisingly small footprint, great for apartments. Easy to assemble, and all necessary tools are included. Hate to admit it, but Chinese quality is excellent with this bike. Nothing cheap, no quality issues. Highly recommended. If Merach is reading, a few requests: Freewheeling (you can pause peddling and the flywheel continues to rotate) would be great. As it is now, if you need to pause peddling to adjust something, you cant. The pedals, and your feet, keep rotating. It will buck you until you get used to it. Add a digit to the mile distance display. It show in tenths (0.0) but hundredths (0.00) would help with motivation to see it move a bit more rapidly.

I must rate it five Stars because it’s a great well-built bike for the money. Good points: it’s sturdy, gives readout for speed, time, calories, distance and rpm, easy to assemble, its light enough to move around with the built in wheel, has a nice mount for a tablet or smartphone, and it’s extremely quiet while riding. Not so good points: the seat slips unless the adjustable knob is really tightened, handle bars don’t adjust high enough for my comfort, and the pedals are hard to slip into due to the flimsy straps but I use the under side of them with no problems. I haven’t used the fitness app so I can’t review that aspect. Overall I’m very pleased with the purchase. For the money I doubt there’s a better one.

Very quiet bike! Easy set up ,mostly put together. Very compact and does the job. Not made for big screens, but that is cool. Electronics is just okay. You can use any program or app on your iPad, so their app is not necessary in some cases. You can use your Apple, Garmin, Withings, etc watch to track exercise. I’d say one small negative thing was the quality control. My screen holder bar and tray are off a bit. Looks a little wonky, but not too big of deal. That’s what a mass produced bike gets you sometimes. I use a binder clip to level out the tablet, but the plastic ledge and bar holding it is obviously off a bit. It’s bolted down, so it’s not something you can fix or bend. In the picture, it's hard to tell but it's noticeable when you have your tablet on it. No worries. At this price point, I’m okay with it. Not sure if it was a fluke with just this bike. I’m just glad the deformity was not in the flywheel or pedal system. All good! I have a bony bum, so the seat is not comfortable. I bought a cushon cover for it so I'm all set. Happy with the purchase!

I can't believe the quality of this bike. It's amazing! I have had it for a week and I've used it for around 2 hours a day. It's really held up perfectly for me. The seat and handlebar posts adjust easily enough. It's a screw-in style pin but that's the least of my worries. I don't plan on adjusting it very much. It's super easy to assemble and will probably take an hour if you go at a slow pace like me. There's a knob between the handles and it's a backlit LED display. It's clear as day and displays how long your current session is, how far you've gone, how fast you're going, how many calories you're burning and how many watts you're expending. You can pair your phone or tablet to it using Bluetooth, it's always on so long as the bike is being used. No need to hold a button down or anything. You can pair your device and use it with the MERACH app (available on Google Play) and the Fantom Fite app, also available on Google Play. MERACH allows you to view all your details on one easy to read display but it requires registration and comes with a 180-day trial with the bike. The kit includes two double A (AA or LR36) batteries to power the electronics. It does have a sleep timer which kicks in 3 minutes after you're done. Now, it will reset your session after about 30 seconds of no activity. If you need to get off and use the bathroom or just give your bottom a quick break before hopping back on, be aware you can't pause it and you only have a short time to continue. There's also a knob with a red cap on the main body that allows you to adjust the tension and also acts as an emergency stop if you need to stop the flywheel suddenly. They recommend never leaving the bike until the pedals are completely halted. There's virtually ZERO NOISE with this magnetic tension model. If you live in an apartment and you have neighbors underneath you or you have it located on the second or third floor of a house, nobody can hear you when you use it. You can even adjust the feet so if it's on uneven ground, you can even it out: no rocking! I HIGHLY recommend this bike to anyone who is looking for cardio equipment for the home. Even if you have a tiny space to inhabit. It's better, more cost effective, lighter and quieter than any treadmill. Leave the treadmill at the gym, get the MERACH exercise bike for the home. You will not regret it, believe me.

This is my first exercise bike. I didn't want to shell out a whole lot of money. I mainly use it for when it's raining outside and I can't go biking or during the winter which is what I really got it for I bought the silver model. Almost every picture I saw was the black and I noticed that the handlebars are more tilted at least on this model, but I actually prefer it that way compared to the flat ones I've seen so I don't know if it's just a newer design or if they're designed differently between the two colors it's same bike though so I don't know why it'd be different I ended up having an extra screw for the handlebars as well or maybe it just didn't have a drill hole for it, but it works perfectly fine did a quick 30 minute exercise on it and had nothing wrong with it for $250 you can't beat a price like that it's actually built pretty well for the price as well. I would recommend getting either a new seat or a comfy seat cover and that's what I did for mine It's super easy to adjust once you find your size it takes a minute to get used to the dial system. I don't plan on using the app or getting a membership for another app I mean if you have YouTube on like a TV or obviously on a phone there's plenty of fitness guides that are free or just watch TV. Everything shows up on the dial anyways except for resistance which is a little disappointing but at the same time like it'd be nice to be able to track it but it's not necessary the only thing I've noticed obviously after using it I had to re-tighten down the bolts but you get what you pay for and it takes 2 seconds to tighten bolts and I'm sure on other bikes you'd have to do the same thing after using them it is quiet as can be obviously if you are a little overweight like I am, you're going to breathe heavy and and your breath is way louder than the bike. I don't even think the bike makes noise. I would say if you're trying to get into fitness this is a great bike for the price. At some point I might honestly upgrade but I literally use it for rainy days when I can't go out biking and for this upcoming winter I just don't know how long the belt will last or how well it will keep up over time but if you're trying to get into fitness this is a great starter bike and maybe upgrade over time. What I would recommend is definitely getting a new bike seat or a bike seat cushion cover (to be honest all bike seats are uncomfortable just try to find one that works for you a cushion cover will do just fine for most) and buy rechargeable batteries I really like the fact that you don't have to plug this in. It's super easy to move around once you get it set up. It's a little heavy when it's in the box definitely recommend if you're taking up flights of stairs or down to have somebody else to help you. The only thing I don't know is how long this bike will last over time but since I'm using it seasonally I should get a decent value out of it compared to people who will use it daily and that's the one concern that I have is how long will this bike last before it has problems but if it lasts 3 years that it's worth the value that's less than $100 a year I actually personally like riding this bike more than I like riding my mountain bike. It's a lot of fun.
