Civilian Publishing Alif Baa Taa: Learning My Arabic Alphabet

I love every book sold by this Publisher. They are great educational books for little kids. My son absolutely love the books and so I had to order more for Eid gifts for the children in my life. 10/10 recommend these top notch books!

I have been eyeing this book since my baby was a newborn. I wanted something for beginning to learn Arabic, something simple and not plastered with a rainbow and cartoon looking things, like most kids books now. Now he is close to a year old and I thought it was a good time to buy it! I absolutely love it and so does my baby, he loves to look at the pictures and it’s a nice size. It has the Arabic letters with words and the pictures are simple and very nice. It’s a very high quality book! I’m very pleased because the price was not cheap at all, but I think for this kind of quality it was worth it. I do not let the baby hold it himself yet because he will chew on it and destroy it! I think this book will last a long time if you don’t give it to a teething baby.

I like the colors of the book and object used to demonstrate each letter. Also you can easily clean the book with wipes or wet towel. I’m glad I found this book on Amazon and looking forward to buy more of such books for my baby. Thank You to the seller

I love this little board book as an introduction to the Arabic alphabet and vocabulary. I've been trying to learn Arabic for years and now that I have a baby, I can learn alongside her. Since I have familiarity with the language already, I let my partner read it aloud for our daughter and I was pleasantly surprised as how well written the transliteration is. He was able to read the letters and words very well with distinction between ه،ح،خ. I love that the book follows the orientation for the Arabic script in that you read the book "backwards" in comparison to English, just like a Manga. I also love the inclusion of the harakat marks. They compliment the transliteration well as a learning tool. My only con is that some of the pages would benefit from better contrast for accessibility purposes. There are pages that are harder to read the black text against the dark background.

I first bought this 4 years ago and when my sister in law had a baby, I bought another one for my niece. This board book is amazing and very easy to use when teaching the arabic alphabet to a child.

I have been looking everywhere for a book like this! Ever since my daughter was born I have been trying to find a modern Arabic Alphabet book to introduce the language. I am not a native speaker and sometimes forget how to pronounce the letters. This book was perfect! Each page includes the Arabic transliteration so even if you can’t speak Arabic you can learn. All of the pages are colorful and engaging. I even get to learn new Arabic words since each page includes an Arabic letter, a picture and the word (a word that starts with the Arabic letter). Also I absolute love that this book uses classical Fus-ha Arabic and not a specific dialect! Both my daughter and I are learning together! I hope this company makes more books like this!!

I bought this book for me nephew who lives in the Middle East. I love the colors and graphics on the book and that it is a hard cover. I think it would have been even better if it was only in Arabic versus English and Arabic. That is why I am giving it a 4 star.
