Excellent stair tread sealer
Really worked well in sealing the edges of my 3M Safety-Walk stair treads. 3/4 tube sealed ~60' of treading. Applying a narrow unwavering bead is best. Takes ~24-hours to fully cure/dry. Using the 3M Safety-Walk Rubber Hand Roller was a big help in pressing out bubbles/wrinkles in when applying tread to stairs, before edge sealing.

a lasting seal
I'm not sure how much of this product is sold. The first delivery package was a soft bubble-pack envelope and full of goo from the burst container tube inside. I did received a free replacement tube in a more protective carton. The product is performing as described, so 4 stars.

Sticky situation
Just tried this product for the first time, putting it along the non-skid strips on outside wooden stairs. However, it's now the middle of summer so I won't know how effective it is until the rainy season starts. It is not easy to make the seal with this product and have it look wonderful. There is definitely a learning curve involved to get it smooth and even. In my opinion, it is more difficult to apply than silicone caulk....at least with that you can use your finger and/or a rag to smooth your lines or wipe off excess. This product is more like a glue and smears and makes strings when you try to wipe it off. For this project, I was more interested in function than form, so if it gets the strips to stay on for more than two years, which is what I got out of the first installation, then I will be happy and don't mind the non-professional outcome of my sealing job. The manufacturer recommends not walking on this product for at least 24 hours after application and I strongly agree with that advice!!

The secret to keeping outdoor safety step treads adhearing to surface.
Very little used of this expensive sealing compound in my application, but absolutely necessary to prevent fall and spring rains from separating the tread edgings from applied surfaces. Application is slow, tedious, and a learning experience. I had about 13 steps (2 treads per step), during a couple of warm fall days. So far this spring, no signs of edge curling.

Great Sealant
Works great and was easy to use. I sealed 20 treads with this 3M product and so far it has worked well. We've had plenty of rain since it was installed and my treads are still perfectly in place.AAA+++
