This is for the times when you are chopping up a lot of the same thing and you constantly need to empty the container when it becomes full. There is a rectangle opening in the top of the chopping cover for the slicer and grater attachments. If you're using the chopper/dicer, don't put any attachments in that hole, and you can just turn the whole thing upside down and shake most of the contents out through the hole without needing to remove the cover. It is a real time saver. This is definitely worth the price and I would recommend this and I would buy this again if needed.
