Great sprinkler valve
It's typically much easier to find the female thread sprinkler valves in the home centers and hardware stores so finding the male thread versions that I was looking for at a lower price than the female version is a bonus. The valves have worked great since I installed them 2 months ago. They are standard 1" pipe thread that fits 1" PVC female adapters or 1" threaded unions perfectly. The solenoid is standard 24V AC and is easily replaceable. The whole valve top unscrews for easy cleaning when necessary. 5 Stars for a great product at a great price.

Good replacement for Orbit manifold
Works great as a replacement for manifold valves that I installed about 8 years ago. That seems to be the lifespan, as I have had to replace two of them this year. They are a perfect fit in the manifold and easy to replace. I'd go 5 stars if they lasted longer.

Orbit MALE CONNECTION Valve
After looking at all the hardware stores, and shopping Home Depot and Lowes without success, the Home Depot rep found the right valve on Amazon. I was frustrated after first installing it, as the water turned OFF when the 24 volts was supplied ... and turned ON when there was NO voltage, neutral/common state (A Backwards Condition). I thought I got the wrong valve. I Finally got Orbit Technical service on the phone after three attempts- each a 20 minute wait. THEN the young snot nosed green-eared rep. told me the ONLY way my symptom would happen was, " You have the valve installed backwards... "arrow towards the intake manifold"! No Way!.. I was careful when installing it, well atleast until the o-ring dropped, and I had to put the valve down. Sure enough- I reversed the direction of the valve when I picked it up the second time! NOW IT WORKS GREAT !! (Only wish this symptom was published as a caution in their instructions- could have saved a lot of frustration).

Really 5.25 inches long. Replacement for orbit manifold.
The product dimensions given are not correct. I spent too much time looking for a 5.25 inch long valve. I eventually gave up and resigned myself to doing some digging to make it fit. Turns out it is really the same length as the one I was replacing in my 20 year old orbit manifold. I did have to sand the ends just a touch to get it to slip in.
