Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition (輸入版:北米) - PS5

I didn't know much about Dead Cells other than it was a roguelike, and apparently, it played like Castlevania. Well, now that I've had a chance to play the game for myself, I can confidently say that this is a great game and a must-have for any Castlevania fan out there. Dead Cells itself looks fantastic with its unique art style, then you couple that with gameplay that is VERY reminiscent of classic Castlevania, and all DLCs on the disc, which includes a Castlevania-themed DLC?! Yeah, this is a major bang for your buck, Motion Twin killed it with this game.

Up until about a year and some change, “rogue-like dungeon crawler” type games were never on my radar. However, I got into Hades and was hooked. Dead Cells was a title that kept popping up and it slowly peaked my interest. I also would watch bits from the Castlevania series so when I found out Dead Cells had DLC based around it I figured I’d give it a try. Boy am I hooked. Completely absorbed. Dead Cells is fun and the progression feels better than Hades, which pains me to say because I do still love Hades but there are times where I felt like I was going nowhere with that game. I’ve been investing a lot of time in Dead Cells and I do appreciate how its various DLC just melds so effortlessly into the main game. It been a trip so far and I have yet to feel frustration of any kind. Highly recommend if you like this genre of games or even if you’ve been curious about the genre.
