Classic, Reliable, and Makes Amazing Stovetop Coffee
I have switched from a Nespresso to a classic stove-top alternative! Even though my Nespresso is a faster alternative, I genuinely enjoy this little pot for a slow morning! Pros: -Brews rich, strong espresso-style coffee at home -Classic moka pot design feels authentic and timeless -Easy to use once you get the hang of it -Works great on gas and electric stovetops -Compact size, doesn’t take up much space -Much more affordable than an espresso machine -Perfect for Cuban and Italian-style coffee Cons: -Takes a few tries to dial in the grind and heat level -Handle can get warm if left too close to the burner -Not ideal if you want large amounts of coffee at once -Needs hand washing (no dishwasher) Overall: Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker is a fantastic option if you love bold, traditional stovetop coffee. It’s simple, affordable, and delivers that strong café-style flavor without the cost or clutter of a machine. A must-have for moka pot lovers.

Goodbye microplastic cups & filters!
Goodbye microplastics, hello delicious coffee! In an effort to find a healthier, quick, easy to clean, and more economical way to make our morning Joe we purchased this classic pot. It’s super easy to use, and helps us to slow down and be more mindful in the morning. Yes it’s an “espresso” pot, but it’s perfect for coffee as well. Be your own barista and purchase this, you won’t be disappointed.

Easy to Use Makes Great Coffee Every Time
This Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker is solid and well made. It’s not lightweight, which actually makes it feel sturdy and good quality. It brews really good coffee with a rich flavor. It’s also easy to use and simple to clean. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Quality Moka Pot
I love my new Primula Classic Stove top Espresso and Coffee Maker. I combed all of the various Moka pots on Amazon and else where. The one I previously had was light weight and made excellent coffee. This pot which was more expensive was worth it. It has some weight to it, makes a perfect cup of coffee to which I add a little hot water for the perfect Americano. Do read the directions: Do not wash with detergent, do not pack down the coffee when you. put it in the filter, and do not let the flame come up around the base. The handle was never to hot to handle when I took if off the stove. You will love this Moka Maker. Love it!

Great. Simple and straightforward
Terrific. Just exactly what its supposed to do. Well made. The Bialettis are much heavier metal and more expensive, but all the reviews I read said the extra weight of the Bialetti makes no difference. Also Bialetti has crapped their machines up with too many graphics. This one is plain and simple.

Simply the best and simplest
I have tried a number of these stovetop espresso makers. The Primula is simply the best. I had one of these for many years. I failed to clean it regularly and ended up throwing it out an moving to a different brand that was stainless steel, which I normally prefer. However, two other brands broke within a few months. Specifically, the first had a two piece filter funnel design that fell apart every time I emptied the grounds in the garbage. The safety valve failed on the second one in about 6 months. I ended up coming back to the Primula. Just like my grandmother. The product looks great on the stove. Though not stainless steel, the coffee tastes and smells great. When done, I just rinse out the pot with water. I find that making the coffee on a lower temperature works better for me. I also recommend that when new, you brew a couple of cycles of plain water through it before first real use. This thing is built like a tank.

Makes good coffee, unfortunate spout design
For background, I used a Bialetti Moka Express for many years but it started giving me more and more trouble, I was always replacing parts, it made coffee inconsistently despite me trying all kinds of tricks. Eventually I gave up and made coffee other ways. Then a few months ago I was visiting a friend who was using a no-name moka pot which seemed to work great for him, and it reminded me how much I loved this style of coffee. So I decided to try this one. I've been using this Primula model pretty much daily for about 3 months now. It makes good coffee every time. The six-cup model is perfect for one cup of very strong coffee, which is what I drink. There are a couple design divergences from Bialetti, presumably for copyright reasons. Some are inconsequential, like it being ten-sided instead of eight. However, the Primula spout design is a pain. The spout has a little lip on it that forces you to pour the coffee very slowly; otherwise it runs down the side of the pot and spills everywhere. This is a small but consistent annoyance, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. If unlike me you can pour patiently it won't be an issue for you.

Terrible coffee maker. Filter size inappropriate and allows the coffee powder to contaminate the decoction.

This Moka pot is a great pick if you're into espresso-style coffee but don’t want to shell out for a fancy machine. It’s super easy to use—just add water and ground coffee, pop it on the stove, and you’re good to go. The coffee it makes is strong, rich, and full of flavour—perfect for fans of Cuban-style brews. It feels pretty sturdy for the price, and it’s easy to clean too. Just note: the “cup” sizes are espresso cups, not regular mugs, so a 6-cup version will really only make about 2 small cups of strong coffee. Also, be careful with the plastic handle—it can melt if it gets too close to high heat. All in all, if you don’t mind the smaller serving size, this is an awesome, affordable way to level up your coffee game.
