very good taste
1. The strainer is not necessary at all, I prefer what comes directly out of the Soy Milk maker.2. in fact, I used barley together with soy beans to make wonderful soy milk, and really yummy! If you don't want to have problems with sticking, try adding just a few peanuts in other gradients, the soy milk will taste even better and the milk maker is easier to clean!3. What others say about cleaning the maker right after the soy milk is ready is right, but for those who are in a rush, you can pour out the soy mild somewhere else, and then put enough water inside the container and cover the head part, so that the okara won't stick to the container wall, and you can also clean it several hours later.4. Okara can also help to improve your complexion by softly rubbing it against your skin.

Not As Advertised. Machine was a returned unit.
1. There was no "bonus pack". The order arrived with the machine only.2. We found slight white residues on the blade and the plastic container. It was either an used or previously returned unit. The machine itself functions per design. However, this should be a new unit, not a used one.

Need some improvement for quality control.
This is the 2nd one I used. The machine just stopped working for no reason. It’s not a reliable long lasting product.

A good little machine, and unexpected results
I bought this soymilk maker in January. I was quite pleased with how it worked. The instructions are beautifully written in Korean, but the English ones don't make a whole lot of sense. Fortunately, between these product reviews, you tube and the fact that it is easy to use, you can figure it out. It worked reliably 2-3 times per week. I found it to be a good size for a 2 adult household. The soy and almond milk both are excellent, but, you do need to season your final product if you are used to store bought soy or almond milk. You definitely have to soak your ingredients beforehand for the best result. Ditto on the straining. I think it is especially helpful for a busy person who lives somewhere where these products are hard to find or very expensive. I also really appreciate that it's made the shopping easier, no need to tote home those heavy tetra packs (the first ingredient is water, folks) and now we're not filling up the recycle bin with the empties. Then, an unexpected electrical problem at home fried the thing two weeks ago. I was fully committed at this point, being 2 lbs in to a 25 lb bag of soybeans. I fretted over whether to spend the money to replace it. In the meantime, we ran out of soymilk. I made a batch old school, in the food processor and on the stovetop. A few days later I did it again. I kept going with it. It's not that big of a deal to me now. Plus I can make 2-3 quart batches at a time, so it looks like I'll be able to do it once for the week and we're set. I don't think I am going to purchase a replacement soymilk maker. The other huge bonus of making your own soy milk us the byproduct, the okara. It's not a waste product, it's food! Regardless of your method of soymilk making, this is a wonderful traditional japanese food that you can put your own twist on. The Book of Tofu by William Shurtleff has a great introduction to it. I use it to make my own veggie "meatballs" and patties. It's good on soups and sauce. Stir fried with veggies is a more traditional use, and very good!

LOVE LOVE this product
LOVE LOVE this product, easy and so simple - I have only used the soybean maker, and my family and I have enjoyed homemade soybean drinks in such healthy way. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and fast. I would say it is a bit noisy, but after a while it became white noise to me or sometimes it helps me hear what stage it is at before its ready for me to drink. The only thing i put in there is organic soybean (soaked overnight) and then sweetened with sugar per preference...that's it....

way more work than necessary
I decided to order a soymilk maker after using my mom's. It was so easy and quick. This one had really good ratings so I deciding on this one. With this one you have to strain the milk after the process is done. It takes about 20 minutes just to do that. Others have the strainer attached to the grinder so when the milk is done processing it is already strained. You do have to wait a minute for the milk to finish draining from the strainer but nothing like this one. I sent it back and ordered the one my mom has. She has the soyabella. I think this one has such good ratings because they don't realize that there is something way easier out there.

Good, not leaking, easy to use
Quite good.Someone said it will leak when they use it.This kind review makes me hesitate to order it.But I'm lucky to believe myself. The cover is not 100% seal because there's lots of steam during cooking soy milk. The design is quite good. There's two lines inside the container. You can't add water over this line or the water will come out during use.I use it for months and obey the menu. My soy milk never leaking. I like this!
