Story of My Life (Standard Edition) (Story Lake, 1) Paperback – March 11, 2025

One of my favorite books to date! Such a fun, feel good book!!!!! A MUST read! Definitely on my list of highly commended books!

I love all of Lucy Score's books. I am obsessed with her books. This newest one was great. I read it in a two days. Can't wait until the next installment.

From the first moment that the town of Story Lake, PA had their pet Bald Eagle, named Goose, (yes, you read that right) drop a fish on to the head of our FMC while driving a convertible, I was cracking up. I'm officially a fan!Story of My life was advertised as Gilmore Girls meets Schitt's Creek and I 100% see it. Perfection! FMC Hazel Hart is a romance author, who's recently went through a divorce and it's affecting her writing. In a move to revitalize her career, Hazel buys a house via online auction, sight unseen, in the small town of Story Lake. It may have helped that she also read an article about the town recently that highlighted the beautiful trio of Bishop brothers. Hazel, hoping that the oldest brother, Campbell, will give her hero inspiration for her new book, sets out with her agent/bff Zoey to Story Lake.Campbell Bishop is a Story Lake local, oldest of 4 siblings, runs a construction business, helps with his sister's general store, and town grump. The moment he saw Hazel driving into town, get hit in the face with a fish from Goose, and run her rental car into the town sign, he knew she was Trouble. Doing everything he can to avoid Hazel, while also doing the renovations on her house, Cam is suckered into fake dating Hazel for "research" for her new book.Guys, I cannot tell you how funny this book was. It had everything! A teenage town mayor, a prankster bald eagle, 3 gorgeous brothers who aren't afraid to fight someone, the town pain in the ass, the local gossips, Rump Roast the pig, and Bertha the raccoon. I was obsessed with the relationship between the Bishop siblings. Their banter was the Best! The text convos had me clinching my sides, they were so funny. I love Cam, Gage, and Levi. This book, while a romcom, gave all the family banter feels and it was honestly my favorite part!I cannot WAIT for the next book from Story Lake!

This has been my FAVORITE read of 2025!!! I love hazel and Cam ❤️ The way she writes this book is genius. I laughed throughout and teared up- I couldn’t put this book down. I can’t wait for the next installment. I also love how she didn’t make the FMC all about the MMC and make dumb decisions IYKYK LOL. Thank you for a wonderful read!!!!!!! Xoxo

I believe this might be the funniest book I have ever read. It also had many other fantastic qualities but I cry laughed so many times I actually thought my anxiety meds might finally be working :). Thank you for a fantastic escape!

What a fantastic story!! Only downside is having to wait a year for book 2.
