Worth the $
I usually find that lower priced skin care is just as good as the pricey stuff. However, I decided to try this product even though I was pretty happy overall with my No. 7 lift & luminate serum for fine lines. I was glad I did. This stuff rocks! It does an even better job overnight of erasing fine lines. Only a small amount is needed so the tube should last awhile.

Gentle enough for my mature skin
Allies of Skin Retinal 0.05% review This product comes in an appropriate cosmetic box. The cream is in a tube and it has a pump on it to dispense the product. It is the first pump on a tube I believe I have ever seen. I like it but I do wonder when I only have a small amount of product left if it will be able to dispense the entire contents but I will just have to wait and see. This is a yellow cream. It goes on very easy and spreads evenly. It took a couple of pumps to do all my face and neck. The listing mentions that this product is a beginner strength of retinol and since I have used other retinol products for a couple of years I didn’t do a skin test as I usually do on new cosmetics. I have not experienced any negative effects of using this night cream and I do have sensitive areas on my face especially the top of my cheeks which are prone to burning and turning red and irritated looking. This is a new brand and new product for me. I have not used it long enough to see how it wears long term but so far I am pleased with how my skin is reacting to this cream. Since I have very mature and thinner skin I am more protective of what I put on my face every day and this is a product that is not causing me any issues and I am happy with this it and will be using the entire tube. My box had an expiration date of August 30, 2027 printed on the box. Below are the ingredients as copied from the box. INGREDIENTS Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Propanediol, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Methylsilanol Hydroxyproline Aspartate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Beta-Glucan, Centella Asiatica Extract, Saccharomyces/Xylinum/Black Tea Ferment, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Ubiquinone, Epigallocatechin Gallate, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Ceramide NP, Panthenol, Arginine, Glycolipids, Ornithine, Retinal (Retinaldehyde), Bisabolol, Populus Tremuloides Bark Extract, Lecithin, Oxidized Glutathione, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Gluconolactone, Levulinic Acid, Biotin, Palmitoy Tripeptide-5, Palmitoy! Not for dry skin
I had high hopes for this cream, but I experienced very skin with it, so much that I had to buy another face cream to hell with hydration. Would not recommend.

Overnight Treatment
Allies of Skin is a "smart" beauty line, "designed with a busy lifestyle in mind to be simple to use while maximizing the functions of smart formulations that support your skin’s health." All of their products are certified cruelty-free by PETA and focused on clinical active ingredients without unnecessary additives, including silicones, sulfates, alcohol, synthetic dyes, phthalates, fragrances, and essential oils. I've had good experiences with the Allies brand in the past, finding their products to be well made and effective. Their C serum and the multi-acids sleeping facial are among my go-to products. This night repair cream is designed for aging skin and offers Retinaldehyde, in Allies' proprietary Ally-R formula, a gentler form of Retinol without the harsh, drying side effects. It also has Hyaluronic Acid, which helps skin better absorb and retain moisture, peptides for antioxidant and skin-smoothing, Argan and cranberry seed oil, for hydration, Indian Gingseng and Prodizia, for anti-aging and Ellagic Acid, which helps skin recover from environmental stressors. Overall I found this hydrating and a great alternate with the C-serum, using one or the other every other night on my somewhat sensitive skin. This didn't dry my skin out at all—in fact, it was hydrating—but still provided the smoothing and even tone benefits of Retinol. They suggest mixing this with facial oil if you have a dry skin, and serum can be applied underneath it. One thing I really appreciate about Allies, is that they don't try to tell you to use their products as often as possible, and so advise those with sensitive skin to use this 2-3 nights week. Their website also provides an FAQ under each product about which products work well together and how to use them, while warning of potential interactions. Overall, just one of my favorite lines and this is another great product from them. The biggest downside, as is often the case with premium skincare, is the high price point. It comes boxed and dispenses with a tube to pump format that works very well, and the lid is large enough to stand on its own on a shelf. Full Ingredient List from the Allies of Skin website: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propanediol, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Candida Saitoana Extract, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Galactoarabinan, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3, Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Oxycoccus Palustris Seed Oil, Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Oil, Niacinamide, Withania Somnifera Root Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Callus Culture Extract, Retinal (Retinaldehyde), Ellagic Acid, Phenylethyl Resorcinol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Resveratrol Dimethyl Ether, Phenyl t-Butylnitrone, Ergothioneine, Glutathione, Mirabilis Jalapa Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Chrysin, Glutamylamidoethyl Imidazole, Lonicera Caprifolium Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica Flower Extract, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Cyclodextrin, Caprylyl Glycol, Steareth-20, Gluconolactone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, Dextran, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Calcium Gluconate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene, Linalool

Good night cream, pairs well with the Allies of Skin Firming Daily Treatment
Allies of Skin is made in Singapore which isn't usually a country I consider for skin care products, but since many celebrities use this brand, I decided to try this Retinal 0.05% & Peptides Repair Night Cream. This has a lot of goodies in it. The scent is fairly subtle and I couldn't place it, but I think it is the p-Anisic acid, which is a naturally occurring compound found in anise, that is second to last on the ingredient list. This isn't too harsh for my normal but maturing skin, and I'm liking it so far. I am using it at night and the Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidants Advanced Firming Daily Treatment during the day.

Note negative 1.
