Excellent Value
Superb. The relatively high rye content in the mash bill (28%) lends this classic bourbon a lovely, rich spiciness. Remarkable value at this price point as well as being delicious on its own merits. For those who take their whisky neat, a few drops of water may be preferred by some, but even at 50% abv I would not personally recommend adding much more than that (start small).

The Bourbon that will not disappoint. Plus at a reasonable price
Well what can a say, another beautiful Kentucky Staight Bourbon. Smooth, in a beautiful bottle. Just perfect for that Special occasion or to enjoy in the evening with friends or enjoy watching a good movie. Superb Bourbon, really and truly enjoyed. Nice to have, for a wee treat, even nice treat for a close friend etc.

mooth, Flavorful, and a Real Hidden Gem!
I recently tried Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and I’m really impressed! The higher rye content gives it a lovely spicy kick that balances beautifully with the smooth caramel and vanilla notes. Perfect for sipping neat or with a few ice cubes, it feels rich and sophisticated without being overpowering. Definitely a hidden gem in the bourbon world—I’ll be keeping a bottle on hand for special evenings and relaxed weekends alike.

Way better options for the price
I'm a big fan of whisky and bourbon. I've developed a taste for it over the last decade or so and I'm discriminating. I've read good things about Four Roses. Bourbon is typically slightly sweeter and often smoother than whisky. Not in this case it isn't. This is not Woodford Reserve. There is a kind of metallic/chemical taste at the front which is not that pleasant, but it has a smooth finish. It does have a sweetness to it, but the chemical/metallic taste is always there. By comparison you can get something like Tamnvavulin for a similar price and it's so much better. Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is better and Jura Rum cask are bothmuch better, and frequently on offer for a couple of pounds more. It's worth it. Lidl's Ben Bracken Speyside at £17 a bottle is better. Most Irish Whiskey is better. Four Roses isn't bad, it's just easily beatable at any price point - even at an Amazon discount of just over £20. In fact I've just bought a bottle of Tequila from Lidl for £8 that is better. If you haven't had 'sipping Tequila' you are missing out. Four Roses is okay, but it's really easy to do better for the money.
