Excellent sound quality (when buds and/or ear hooks are fitted properly)!
Excellent sound quality (i was quite surprised!). Granted, the sound delivery is not super high-fidelity, and unless you are accustomed to in-studio type headphones or ear buds, these perform very well. With that in mind, you absolutely must spend the time to achieve a proper fitment (or as other's have noted, they will fall out of your ears). The in-line controls are intuitive and easy to use, just be careful to not pull from your ear when adjusting them (if not using your device controls for functions). These are not anything like the conventional and EMF dangerous Apple or standard ear buds! Note to the lazy or convenience oriented users.... spend the time and follow the instructions included, or your experience will be less than favorable. Regarding physical activity usage (as opposed to static activity, such as reading or working at your desk), again, I highly recommend initial proper fitment (and they will stay inserted!), or wear something else without EMF protection, and potentially damage your brain. Edit 12/13/2025: Noticed other reviewers having issues wearing these while sleeping... what? You should never be listening to headsets while sleeping in bed (particularly with the typical wireless, or wired styles)! And wearing with a hoodie, of course there will be ergonomic complications rubbing the blue tubes, etc.) so it's not recommended to wear hoodies while using these.

Most uncomfortable headphones
The sound is fine. It's comparable to my regular headphones (I was using iPhone headphones that come with my phone). I'm mostly using these for conference calls, so don't need great quality. What I found were 2 issues. 1) The earbuds keep falling out of my ears. The tube doesn't move as fluidly as a wire and it's heavy with the metal piece it connects to, so if you move, the ear buds kept popping out of my ears. I've tried the other earbud accessories w/ the hooks, but those weren't hooking into the rook of my ear well, so I would jam the ear bud and hook as hard as I could into my ear to stay put, which was very uncomfortable. I tried the plastic hooks, but those loosely clip to the ear buds and loosely sit on my ear, and awkward to put on. They're also uncomfortable on the ear, unless you're used to that. 2) I wear hoodies a lot, and the metal joint connected to the end of the tube plus the volume control kept rubbing against the zipper of my hoodie, and I could hear all of that noise. I used the included clip to restrict the tubes from touching the zipper, but that was a delicate balance between the of wire available before the volume control and my head movement. The clip prevented the metal from rubbing on the zipper, but doesn't prevent the ear buds from falling out bc now you're limited to your movement and the tubes flare out like a stethoscope. Overall, it's more grief to use these headphones. These are my first pair of airtubes, so I'm not used to them, so as my first experience with them, they're frustrating to use. It's a bummer bc the sound is good.

Work excellent for phone calls, good audio quality
My main concern was that the inline mic wouldn't work well or wouldn't sound good because I use these for all my cell phone use. They work wonderfully. I use them all day for business calls and they actually seem to pick up less vehicle noise than the my iphone's built in mic. No distortion, no muffled quality. Also the earbud's sound quality really is fantastic. I have been using panasonic headphones for years and haven't really wanted to go back since these. Also, the build quality seems great. They really do seem worth the money. The cord seems a bit thin, but I have been using them all day for weeks while I am working with the cord getting yanked and pinched in my pocket and I have seen no damage yet and the tips that go in your ear are very heavy duty. These are well made. Also, please recognize that the comments about the magnets in the earbuds are for the old version. These are the new ones that don't have that feature.

May last a year at best (after 3 tries)
When I first bought these, I was impressed by the sound quality. I gingerly kept them at bedside for use at bedtime, never in a purse or for travel. First time, one speaker died within a year, and it was dutifully replaced by DefenderShield. Then, once again, one of the new speakers died, but about a month after it's 1 year mark. I spoke with their (then gracious) customer service, and was impressed that they readily waived that month. The Rep said the replacement would also come with its own full year warrantee. But after only 7 months, the new EMF protecting cord-covering started separating itself from the cord, making an exposed loop that got larger every day. Then an entire ear-speaker popped off in my ear from the tube, with no way to solidly secure it back, followed by yet a third speaker fail. Not sure how long the control bar had been unresponsive as I hadn't even used it yet, but it was useless. It was laughable how flimsily this was put together. This was with careful, moderate use for a couple hours at bedtime! I called customer service about this, sent photos, and this time was told (rather rudely) that since the last Rep had waved a month, they had been wrong to include a warrantee on that replacement. I tried pointing out the poor business of recanting, especially when clearly there's an issue with their speakers (see other reviews) and with quality control, and all I wanted was what I'd presumably paid for originally... a headset that didn't die around the 1 year mark. But he didn't budge. Rather, he told me to look for when they had a sale. LOL. That'd be like spending $87 annually for a headset subscription. Careful with this purchase friends, unless you're ok with that. The sound quality is good (would've been a 5 star review) when both speakers work. So when the speakers have sound, the protective wire covering isn't spontaneously unraveling, the ear-phones are attached to the tubes, and it's not dangling from one of your ears, and the control bar does something, they're great. There's literally nothing left to fall apart.

Not long lasting
I was happy with the sound quality. The ear pieces do not like to stay in my ears and the right one has stopped working after three months use. They are not durable. I’ve been told these are the best air tube earbuds out there. I do not feel the value is there given how expensive they are.

Grateful for these
I have purchased several pairs of these headphones specifically to protect myself from EMF/radiation from my cell phone. The only draw back is that the wire catches on everything I walk past and rips them out of my ear and phone. Then, they quit working rather quickly. I understand they are wired and I prefer that. Just wish there was a way to keep them from grabbing every knob and item in my path.

High Quality Ear Pods
Excellent sound quality. Lots of attachments. Nice case. I have had these in the past and will always come back to this one. It is more expensive than others but worth it. It comes from a company that specializes in EMF products.

Review updated 2/25/25
Updated review 2.25.2025 I am changing my review thanks to the company's customer service. Defender Shield quickly attended to my complaint and promptly addressed it. My faulty earbuds (that gained them just one star originally as per my review below) were replaced. I really do love how they work, so I am happy to be able to use them again.. Thanks for the exceptional customer service. ------- older review----- I purchased this earbuds late February 2024 and about a month ago they started not working properly. if I am moving while plugged in it often shorts out. While on the phone, it cuts me off, or It causes Spotify to start automatically while I'm having a Whatsapp or FT conversation. I tried another headset and I don't have the same problem. These earbuds stopped working 10 months after my purchase, I cannot justify this for the price I paid. I had another earbud set (from another company) that lasted over 3 years and cost about the same. I will go back to those.
