Easy to use, fast set-up, works like a charm
This product is fantastic! Just like most other folks, I didn't want to crawl under the tree to water it. With this product, I didn't. When we first received the item I didn't have a 2 liter bottle on hand (we don't drink much soda), so I used a 1 liter flavored water bottle in it and it worked just the same, just emptied faster. I was a little worried that the tree stand would overflow at first, but it never did--but water did come within an inch from the top. The bottom of my tree stand is flat, so I was able to leave the waterer flat on the ground and the water flowed fine--no need to raise it up at all to keep the waterer working (it's a part of the directions, you will understand if you buy it). We had our waterer setting off to the side, behind a lamp, so it wasn't so obvious--but I didn't really care that it was as "pretty" as some other models out there. I wanted it to work, and work well, and it did.

Does NOT work as advertised
Good in concept, but it makes a huge mess. I've now filled this thing up 4 or 5 times, and it either completely overflows the stand and makes a giant puddle all over our new hardwood floors, or the water level doesn't go down at all. Easier just to fill the stand up with water by hand....would definitely not recommend or purchase again. What a waste.

Great idea... not always reliable!
The product seemed to work great for a few days and I was very happy. This morning I woke up to a huge puddle on the floor. I was very careful about following the instructions, but I was wary when I read other reviews saying this. Unfortunately, it's not the greatest reliability. I will try it again though because I really like the idea of not watering my tree all the time. Luckily I don't have carpeting!

Simple but effective waterer...just make sure you get the elevation right for your tree stand!
This is a simple, but solid product, and fills a great need for those who travel at times during the Christmas season, or those who just forget to water their tree for several days. It's also great if you just don't like getting down on your hands and knees to water a tree regularly. No one likes coming home to a dry tree. It's not only ugly and prickly, but causes a mess of dropped needles, and could be a significant fire hazard. This product helps solve that problem, and basically works well. It's very easy to set up and use, but you NEED to test it and make sure it's working before you leave it to do the watering for you. I will say that mine never really worked at floor level. It will depend greatly on your type of tree stand. Experiment with different elevations (I just set mine on small boxes or books), and see what works for you. You can't have it too high, or it will overflow your stand and make a mess. Too low, and it won't run into the stand as it is supposed to. There is a range of heights that will work though, so don't worry that you have to be exact. Find the middle ground and monitor it for a while to make sure it's working. If it is, you'll see (and hear) large bubbles moving to the top of the water line in your feeder bottle (not included, but just a typical 2-liter soda bottle). While there is a little more fussing on the height than I wanted, and there are consequences to getting it wrong, it's still a good product, and should serve you well in its simplicity.

Keeping things easy
This is a great item! It's simple to set up, and keeps the tree watered just like it promises. Just make sure you lift the whole unit to re-start the flow after a bottle refill (take it from someone who doesn't like reading the instructions). I found it to work better with a stiffer juice bottle rather than a 2 liter soda bottle. I also found that leaving the unit on a thick book put the water level right where it needed to be for my Christmas tree stand.

Butt Ugly
What a disappointment!! I ordered a tasteful solid green product, but I received a garish red object with tacky white lines. This item is hideous! If they had not lied to me about its appearance, I never would have bought it. Who could even conceive of such ugliness? I hate it. It is seriously ugly.

This worked great for me last year
This worked great for me last year. I am looking forward to the ease of watering my tree again this year too! If you understand the concept of water draining to only a certain level that this will help. You need to set the waterer on something other than the floor. It all depends on the height of the tree stand! Just get it up and running and try different objects like a phone book or a block or a box, until the water level flows to about the top of the tree stand's bowl. Once you see that you have the height perfect than you can put your gifts and stuff under the tree and not worry about reaching under there to fill the tree stand. Now all you have to do id keep the water container from running dry. Super great product!
