He plans to use the laptop for work. He works in a manufacturing type environment. His office is located in the fabrication warehouse and it's very open. I thought it might be a good idea to give the keyboard some sort of protection from all the fine metal shavings, dust, paint and the inevitable liquid spill. This cover fit like a glove. It looks thick enough to not crack or tear with repeated use while staying flexible. The keys work fine and respond just as well as they do uncovered. I spent a lot of time setting the laptop up and it was barely noticeable. The cover exactly in the keyboard space. There is no overlap on the case. I would imagine that liquid could seep underneath it and into the case if he gets a drenching spill. Honestly though, unless I entirely wrap the machine in plastic wrap or something there isn't much we can do about that. At least it will keep most of the liquid out. If they only made water tight full coverage Otter Boxes for laptops! The very first day after I installed this cover, I spilled coffee on the laptop and it went... nowhere. Lifted off the cover, washed it and put it back on.Make sure it will fit your EXACT keyboard.
