I'm so happy with this machine. It's higher quality than what my surgeon ordered through a medical supply company at less than 1/2 the cost. Another that I'd ordered was leaky and cumbersome leaving me nervous about getting a good one in time. This came next-day. It's very easy to use and is providing amazing relief from pain and swelling after knee surgery. Worth every penny!!!

****updating 2 weeks later*** I tried to turn it on this morning and the pump is dead. Ill have to figure out how to return, even though I cannot leave my house for a few weeks. This should be fun. I bought this for my upcoming knee replacement. I tried it tonight to deal with some of the pain and let me tell you, its worth every penny. I was worried the wrap wouldn't fit my very plus size knee, but the straps are super stretchy. My only wish is that the cold water would go all the way around the knee since I have a lot of pain behind my knee as well. I'm going to try to find a replacement wrap that surrounds the entire knee

I have been using this unit after a meniscus repair and it works great. It works well with ice or with frozen cold packs and the temperature stays around 32 degrees for hours. Much more convenient than getting an ice pack out of the freezer every time I need one.

I like this cold therapy machine a lot, it is whisper quiet, intuitive to set up and does hold temperature well as a plastic cooler (by minimizing heat loss through the cooler). I wish the instructions were clearer and more concise, but unfortunately, the instruction sets we get with many products often offer unclear and imprecise translations. My only down sides to this review are cost and the lack of programmability. It goes for about $180, and there was a $50 coupon to incentivize its purchase; that seemed to be close to a good price point (my orthopedist told me that one would cost about $200). The other issue is lack of programmability, other cold therapy units allow you to program intermittent icing of the site you’re cooling down, as well as how many cycles (such as cooling for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off for three cycles), but this one doesn’t, however this is really a very minor inconvenience. The wrap fits well and I haven’t had any problems with condensation. Rather than using ice cubes in the cooler, I’ve been using three frozen 16 oz water bottles, and this has been providing upwards of 6 hours of relief. The water pump is designed to be submersible, so DO NOT RUN IT DRY!! You put in the frozen water bottles, fill it to the fill line and run it at whatever “level” you want (the instructions don’t specify what that means, but I’m guessing that’s a flow rate of cold water through the tubes(?)) for whatever time increment you want. I just had a total knee joint replacement, and the relief it’s giving me is great. I highly recommend this cold therapy unit with the caveats of price point and programmability, but as I said, those are not significant problems. Edit: I just bumped down my review four stars to three. The unit still works well, but I just tested the remote control which they provide you. It runs on two AAA batteries, which they do not provide you. However, the problem with the remote control is that the buttons are all messed up. The on/off button does not turn on the unit, the button with the “light icon” with a minus sign on it does (it’s supposed to reduce the time increment and Level). All four of the buttons on this remote are similarly screwed up; that’s a pretty embarrassing SNAFU in my opinion and does not say much about their quality control.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I discovered 4 days before knee surgery by old ice cooler leaked Quality: Very good Works well: Easy to use with the remote Stays cold: I freeze water bottles and put in to keep water cold. Works excellent
