I freaking love this hat. I wear it to my daughter’s cheer competitions, and it’s become kind of my signature look. It’s super easy to program… I’ve got it scrolling some great sayings that get plenty of laughs (and maybe a few eye rolls). The brightness is solid, the battery lasts a long time, and the app makes it simple to change messages on the fly. My daughter says it’s cringe, which in dad language means I nailed it. It is a perfect fit and goes with my light up suit perfectly. For the price I want to get two! You won’t be disappointed if are looking for mild embarrassment for your teen. Great bang for the buck!

I am having so much fun with this hat. One funny story for you: I was on a S/W airline flight recently and I typed in "south west airline flight attendant are awesome" I let the message scroll. One flight attendant stopped, read the led display and broke out into a hughe ear to ear smile. She then called her other flight attendant over to read the message. They all thought I was just the greatest guy in the world. I was give complimentary liquor beverages while on the flight. My wife just looked at me and when she read the message she just shook her head and said "you are so muniplative" I agreed as I sipped on my free rum and cokes for the flight...The ability to change the messages is so cool. I have not have anyone who didn't laugh at the hat and immediately wanted to know where they too could get one for themselves or a friend.

I purchased this item for a hat competition during a trip to Costa Rica and it was a hit! I am not very tech savvy but found the functionality of this item super easy! I was able to control the words on the hat which made for alot of laughs. The color and fit was perfect - definitely true to "one size fit all"! The battery life was longer than expected! Super cute, comfortable, functional and affordable!

For the hat itself: The LEDs are displayed behind a cloth panel, so that's going to dim them a bit, but it's not too bad at night. the hat itself is on the large size... but it needs to be in order to house the display. Quality is OK. It's comfortable enough, but you aren't wearing this hat day to day. Where this product suffers is in the app. It's every bit as frustrating as you imagine it could be, and more. First off, who puts the "erase one pixel" RIGHT NEXT to the "trash the whole design" button, on a touch screen? And speaking of touchscreen, your only drawing option is a landscape representation of the hat display - oriented horizontally on a smartphone app that only works vertically. On my phone my "design space" is less than 2" wide... now try to touch one pixel that's 1/32 of that. You can zoom, but it's frustrating and time consuming, and necessarily means you can only see a part of the screen. The "mirror about axis" and "shift the design around the screen" tools are useful... but that's really about it for drawing tools. Pretty limited. The drawing space would be MUCH more useful if it could be rotated to use a smartphone's screen. Or better still, a web interface for your PC. Or the ability to import bitmaps or something. But I ask too much. There's a tool that allows you to import an image, but the image translation is awful and it's next to useless. The included animations and images (Vietnam flag and no others? Why not!) were very clearly NOT made on the app that ships with this hat. So why don't we get access to whatever those tools are? Also limited are the color options. You should get millions of colors, but here you get a handful of presets. There's a slider that opens things up a bit, but no ability to remember a color you picked. Also, if there is an ability to set the intensity of an individual pixel, I haven't found it. The organization of the app is weird and not intuitive, and the included printed directions are nothing more than reproductions of the various screens, without any actual words on how to use them. It's not clear how something goes from "design on your phone" to "program to the hat" mode, but it just sort of... happens. You'll spend some time deleting half-designed animations and images from the program list. My last gripe is about the program list itself. You can't rearrange it, so forget about any sort of cohesive "show" sequence you wanted to design. When something gets programmed into the list, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to where it shows up. it's just random, apparently. Lat but not least, and very frustratingly, the hat only remember the last thing it did. You send it a "program list" of a bunch of animations and designs and it'll work. Until you charge it or turn it off. When it comes back on, you get the last thing it was doing and that's it. You have to re-upload everything again. That's emblematic of the whole thing, to me. The app is not well-thought, clunky, and hard to use, and it brings down the quality of the whole product. It's a neat novelty for what it is, and mostly worth the few bucks, but don't expect too much.

Great hat got a lot of compliments at raves and sports games.

At the time of my purchase, there were no reviews or ratings, not even the free giveaway ones. However, figured i can return it in case of failure. My expectations were already low due to couple of previous failures by other hats sold on Amazon (different brands). Well, i give 4 generous stars for it working, and not taking 2 hrs to try and connect via bluetooth, and for the app doing everything I needed it to. We will see about longevity, but after 2 days of testing, a sigh of relief. App is bit amateurish, but workable with. Small bugs, but with patience, they can be overcome. It has stock designs, or design your own and then load them to the hat. I was able to load two custom static designs, along with two scrolling text designs, and then switch between them using the button switch in the headband. Hat does look oversized a bit and bulky, but hey, such is the price for wearing a billboard on my forehead. If this lasts for half a dozen parties through holiday season, i consider it a good buy.

I love this hat I wear it all the time I love the little animation on it I love the black battery life is pretty good brightness at night is great hard to see during the day and very easy to use and it's fun

I'm so disappointed. I bought this hat as a gift for my boyfriend at the end of January 2025. It was amazing at first! So cool. But after literally 3 times of wearing it the hat started malfunctioning and no longer works.
