Dust Care Upholstery Brush, Horse Hair Bristles, Fits Electrolux, Eureka, Rainbow, Kenmore Vacuums, Black

I use this with a shop vacuum to clean the carpets and mats in my cars. It also works well with regular household vacuums. The bristles are very stiff and don't collapse so it scrubs & agitates the carpet's nap to release the dirt . The bristles allow some suction air to pass through so it doesn't cause the brush to suction stick to the carpet like a claw and other car tools do. It also works well for a quick waterless cleaning of the all weather mats I have in my truck. The stiff bristles scrub these mats to help remove light dried mud and other debris. If using a shop vacuum you will likely need a readily available adapter to reduce the hose nozzle size you have to 1-1/4" to fit this brush. I don't use it for leather seats and dusting the dash etc. I like a softer dust brush for that. It will work for fabric upholstery seats.

I could have 4 starred it (due to its limitations) except it seems solidly made. JUST BEWARE...this is not meant to dust fragile items like nice lamps or fine furniture. Its bristles are hard like a rock so if you are dusting something like hardwood floors...it works. It does say upholstery so I suppose that if you have a heavy material on a couch or a chair it won't do it major harm. But I also have a Hammond Organ and some cherry cabinets that I certainly will not use this brush for. It is not a supple type dusting brush at all!!! It might even be excellent to scratch your back with...although I will hold off till I break it in.

The brush is well constructed and generally a good value for the price. The only problem I noticed is that so much air is drawn in around the bristles that the vacuum is not strong. On the other hand the bristles are resilient enough to hold up and loosen dust from the surface. I also purchased a couple of the smaller round brushes which cover less area but have better suction.

This fits my old Eureka The Boss SmartVac upright vacuum model 4870 type D. The picture shows the new upholstery nozzle on the left and the original one that came with vacuum on the right. The openings have a slightly different shape but the new one fits on the solid plastic end of hose just fine. It is much better quality than original upholstery nozzle. It cleans my sofas and chairs just fine and helped with removing pet hair from furniture. This attachment does not fit in the caddy on back of vacuum for storage due to different shape opening. That isn’t critical but want buyers to be aware. I’m satisfied with this product and would recommend to a friend.

If you want a wide vacuum brush that is built like a scrub brush, you will like this item. The bristles are so stiff, I'm afraid to use them on anything I would consider delicate or easy to scratch. I probably won't get much use out of this brush, but I'm sure I'll get good use of it under certain circumstances. Oh and BTW, the vendor I bought this from was slow to ship and it took way longer to arrive than just about anything else I have ordered on Amazon.

Fits my Electrolux/Aerus perfectly and maintains its grip on the extension. Works as it should and has good thick bristles.

Unfortunately, this was not the right size for my vacuum, but they refunded me immediately and did not require me to return the product, so somebody else will get to enjoy it. It was very nice quality with natural bristles and a very wide open area for suction.

Received this upholstery brush with the idea I would be able to use it. Not so! It is either inferior or the size just doesn't work on a Shop Vac hose. I chose to not order another, but will continue to search for a upholstery brush that will work on my Shop Vac hose. And, yes, I measured the end of the hose, a wand, etc. Very disappointed!
