DAVEK DUET UMBRELLA - Extra-Large Windproof Umbrella with Automatic Open & Close (Black)

I purchased this (expensive, yes) umbrella for Christmas for our son who lives in NY. He needed a man's umbrella that could stand the test of the NY rain and wind and this one did exactly that! The first outing a gust of wind turned the umbrella inside out. He said a quick flip of the button righted the umbrella like a charm. He loves the wide band that secures the closed device, the one-touch button for open AND close, and the compactness to fit in a subway bag. He said the space beneath the open umbrella was generous and could accommodate 2 people easily. A sturdy, reliable, compact umbrella that is well made and can withstand the wind and the rain! No more throw-aways for him!

Ok, I'm a firm believer in 2 things (retail that is). 1. USA made: 2. Quality. I must say I hit the nail on the head with both here. It is very hard to find retail products produced in the USA. I get it, labor is expensive here. I have throughly gone over my new umbrella. It looks great. Very sturdy, handsome, but I must say, I have not had it in a rainstorm, yet. Obviously another review down the road. Although this umbrella is very expensive. I hope to never buy another. And, the cheap lightweight umbrella will be compromised when most needed. So I bit off an expensive umbrella hoping for the best. So far it appears that way. Very happy...today, and happy with my purchase.

This umbrella is the perfect size. I am not a large person, but I do like to keep my handbag and shoes dry when using an umbrella. Also, when it is pouring out and you have something in your other hand, pushing the button to collapse the umbrella is the best! It seems to be very sturdy and it weighs more than I expected... I love this umbrella and hope it last me for years.

Way better designed then all other brellies.

Upon the end of second time use , one the arms little arms broke off , even the 15-20$ would of last way longer..save your money and purchase a very good quality strong , wind proof umbrella some where else , note I'm a person that takes cares of things ,,especially at that price , sincerely I was under the assumption that such umbrella at such price would be worth it ,, oh boy was I wrong, don't do my mistake...😒

I have gone through many umbrellas, most of which did not last a season. But I've had this umbrella now for two years and I am very satisfied. It opens and collapses at the touch of a button. An unexpected benefit here is that if the wind succeeds in inverting the umbrella, a touch of the button collapses it, releasing any strain. Then, it's easy enough to start over to open it. I was hesitant to buy this because of the price, and only decided to after my third "well advertised" but less expensive umbrellas broke. This one hasn't.

I like the fact that it is oversized. Quality of construction appears to be outstanding and the ease of use is there. Super expensive but very much worth it in my view.

I did a ton of research on umbrellas and wanted to find a really sturdy, high-quality one that was portable and a little oversized. The reviews here and elsewhere are mostly positive so I decided to give Davek a try considering their history of umbrella making. Unfortunately, it's a disappointing product. The sturdiness and quality may have once upon a time been true of this brand, but the umbrella I received was flimsy and the button opening/closing has been wonky and unreliable. For the price, this was a big disappointment. But I decided to keep it for a little longer to see how it held up, but it's already falling apart. The pleather on the end of the handle is rotting off and it's only a few months old. I really wanted to love this, but it's just not the quality and durability I'd expect for the price. There are much better options out there.

大人二人余裕サイズ。なので多少重く感じるのは想定内。寧ろそれだけ造りがしっかりしていると思えば価格なぞ気にならない。
