Will this work off 12v battery

No this is mains voltage heater. If your using it for a caravan you will need a voltage rectifier and a word of warning the small one does not give of much heat I had to replace it with a 600w one which give a acceptable amount of heat.

What is the object clearance distance from the panel?

30cm from front, 10cm from side.

what distance can the heat of this panel reach to. if i had it on a wall would i feel the heat from say 3 meters away?

At 1m I get a very noticeable and comforting sensation of its being a source of heat. In my experience 3m is probably at or beyond the limit of distance within which you might notice spontaneously the heat source. I use it in a room 4m x 4m and I'm pleased with it: it works well to raise the ambient temperature in the room, it's just you probably won't notice the specific source of heat at 3m.

I wouldn't have thought so. Its not a metallic finish. If it's the wrong colour for your wall, I reckon you could put it on your ceiling instead.
