Great for goat tyers to rosin string!
For all you goat tyers out there who use rosin, these rocks are great! My daughter, Brooklyn is a Texas State champion and she has used these for years. Lasts a long time. Use a leather glove to heat up and rosin your string.

Fine as soldering flux
Colophony is a classic flux for soldering and this one certainly works well for the old stock lead/tin 60/40 solder. I am not sure how well is this suited for the lead-free solders. There are big rocks in the bag to use directly to clean the soldering iron tip, or the smaller grains can be carefully melted and poured in a handy metal can. The only relative downside is that there is too much of it in the bag just for the occasional soldering.

Good quality
Good quality pine resin at a good price. Melts well at temperature, nice and tacky when melted. Mixes well with oils and waxes

Nice Volume of Rosin!
I was quite surprised when I happened upon this item. Nicely refined, I plan on incorporating this into some custom fire starters for EDC/Camping. Not exactly sure what the formulation ratios will be, but I want it to be flexible yet flammable enough so that it doesn't take much effort to start with a ferro device. Also don't want anything that is overly messy to handle!!! I think this will be a useful ingredient to incorporate.

Good rosin for melting for violin use
Elementary music teacher. I'm out of rosin and out of budget! I bought this bag and melted it down outside on my grill burner (in a junk pot that will never return to be anything other than a rosin pot) then poured the melted rosin into silicone candy molds. It worked great and the kids loved them as practice prizes. There were a few impurities at the bottom of the pot- a bug and some seeds, maybe? But they sank to the bottom and didnt affect the quality of the final product.
