I am extremely happy with my purchase.
I purchased the P12 Pro Max 4K several weeks ago and I wanted to test it out prior to writing a review. Honestly, I was hooked in the very first minutes of using it. The clarity of the cameras is better than I anticipated. Customer support was most helpful (more later). The brightness is excellent at night with the brightness control on the front screen. The Design is very sleek and modern and the fit and finish is above my expectation for the price point. Installation was simple and is not intrusive. One could move the mirror/camera from vehicle to vehicle in under 20 minutes if you don't wire the backup sensing wire. After using P12 Pro for a few days I decided to buy the wire extension and mount the cam on our camper. Works perfectly and the Blind Spot Detection is most helpful. I do turn off the reverse assistance due to being an opposite wheel turn with a trail. NBD. After this experiment I wanted to buy a second 2.5K camera for permanent installation on our camper. I reached out to Pelsee to inquire how to purchase as they do not offer a camera as an accessory. A new camera arrived free of charge less than a week later. Thank You, J&*@#*e! I have owed three other manufactures of dash cams. This has been the best all-encompassing cam that I have used. The menu is well organized and easy to understand. The Mirror goes to stby with a manual button push or user defined time, very useful. I have not used the phone app and probably will not because personal preference. I do not use the voice control and mute myself from the recordings. The rear collision avoidance tech works when there are lines on the roadway. The front collision and front car movements works perfectly. The only con I have is brightness during the day. Just a few more nits for daytime use with a clear physical rear view to overcome the glare of the mirror itself. Typically, I will hit the stby button and use the reflective mirror which is very good. When the rear view is physically blocked by cargo the brightness is perfect. No glare on the mirror. I fully recommend the P12 Pro Max 4k!

Excellent Setup
I have had this setup for almost a year now and it has been fantastic. They have a newer model out now. It does everything they say it does. I used a Wolfbox mounting plate so I did not have to use the rubber bands. Now it’s mounted OEM style. There are generic mounting plates out now that you can use. I mounted my rear cam up on my third brake light. Now I am waiting for the 3D printed cover to come in so it will blend in better. I also hard wired it with the optional kit to my fuse box. I see now that they have an OBD plug in kit, but for me I’m glad I went to my fuse box for a cleaner install. The rear camera is great in 2k, with a clean crisp picture. The newer model comes with better cameras, front and rear. Calibration on front and rear cameras for Smart Driving is so easy. I installed this on my 2019 Ford F250 Super Duty.

Good mirror dash cam
Decent mirror dashcam. The reason for the 4 stars is that the screen randomly shuts off for no reason. If you touch the screen it sometimes comes back on. If that doesn’t work, you have to disconnect power and plug it back in and then it works fine. The WiFi works really well and the screen is bright and brilliant looking with excellent clarity. The mirror was very simple to install. I orders the wiring kit for parking monitoring and it does a great job at shutting down if the battery gets to a certain voltage.

NO warranty support / response from PELSEE even after registering and confirming extended warranty
I bought this P12 Pro Max 4k front camera 2.5 k rear camera unit a month ago. It advertised all the features I was searching for and many more features than the competition. Installed front and rear cameras. Configured the settings. On Power up, the unit starts but might record for 20 seconds or stay on for the full minimum recording range, then locks up, then the unit locks up when setting the clock to my local time/date and time zone, the time zone is actually incorrect as when I set it for the correct GMT-7 is actually displays GMT -3, the recordings front and rear are pixelated in lines across the recording, the voice commands are intermittent sometimes responding quickly and sometimes not responding at all, the touch screen is intermittent, and requires a power off hold of the power button and restart, the settings do not save after power off even after power on it briefly flashes the correct time, then resets to different time zone. Reflective mirror function when the display is off is good, but video on and reflective rear view conflict in daytime.regardless of how bright the display setting is set. WIFI App is a bit quirky, gives limited function, will not allow both the camera and app to connect to the internet together for updates and support. If the unit other functions would have worked I would have sorted that WIFI issue. So two weeks ago I sent in a warranty support on the PELSEE web site for this unit having many issues. I tried many things, factory reset, moving GPS receiver, checking 12VDC range (12.6-14.2), change settings, looking for firmware update (none available on the PELSEE web site) I have had no response at all from PELSEE for that support request, none. Web site says the support request was received. The PELSEE web site says support will respond in 24 hours, nothing at all from support. Just too many issues to try to resolve with PELSEE product support when they do not respond. So I will return the unit to AMAZON and give this rating for this product. In fairness, it was an "Amazon Reconditioned - USED" at a bit more than half price which was probably why it was returned in the first place. I gave it 1 star because the Hardware and features are good design and good quality, but very buggy software function (version 1.0 firmware) Maybe it will get better with the next firmware update, but with zero response from PELSEE, I won't wait. I am not at all happy with PELSEE no response when their web site says 24 hour response and the web site confirmed receiving the support request. I would have been a supporting customer if you responded timely with a fix!

Impressive Dash Cam with Smart Safety Alerts & 24/7 Monitoring
I received my dashcam about a week ago and started using it right away. I was impressed by the excellent video quality, with a crisp 4K resolution on the front and a high-resolution image on the back, covering every detail, day or night. The sensor also helps with nighttime clarity. The 5.8GHz Wi-Fi made it easy for me to rip videos on the app without any lag, and I could share clips in seconds. The driving safety alerts are a huge plus, giving me real-time warnings of nearby vehicles, lane changes, and anything else that comes up in my blind spot. Voice control is another great feature: I can adjust the screen or change the view just by speaking a command without taking my eyes off the road. I also liked the 24/7 monitoring option with parking mode, so I can keep a close eye on my car when I park it. With built-in collision detection and seamless loop recording, I always feel at ease. For anyone looking to upgrade their dashcam, this product is unbeatable!

I love this camera, this is one of the Best car camera I have ever owed. First, this camera has good quality, it is very Easy to install and connect on app. Second, it has front and rear view to record, and the video quality is very clearly on the day and night. the rear view is very helpfully on my parking. It including gps and 64G card, the functionality is all I need. The camera is good to replace my old camera.I would definitely recommend this camera to my friends and family. Recommend it, buy it!!

So close and yet so far!
Wow and at the very same time (sometimes even if the same breath) what the****? I used a hard wire kit and it was pretty straight forward to install. That said, If you are deciding on this mirror camera here are some reasons for and reasons against as well as some features I really wish it had. Reasons for: • Very clear resolution • Love the idea of built in safety features • Up and down camera scrolling is pretty awesome • The object distance measuring is very cool (when it works) • Can be used as a camera viewer as well as a rear view mirror • Great night video clarity • Ability to record front/rear cams (even when the mirror has been turned off) • Voice control is a fun novelty that quickly wears off Reasons against: • No way to calibrate the cameras safety features with the software on the max model. Other Pelsee models seem to have this capability but the max only allows you to move the camera to calibrate. On the front camera this means that you need to have the mirror angled parallel with the front window. This makes the angle awkward to look at. On the rear camera you have to have someone else look at the mirror while you position the camera up or down. On my f350 the camera itself is not wide angled enough to see both the hitch for trailers and positioned correctly for blind spot monitoring (one of the reasons I bought this over the wolfbox). • As others have mentioned it is not quite bright enough to be a rear view mirror when the camera is off, and it is too reflective to see the camera view when it is on. This is not a huge deal as I just angle the mirror down when using the camera and angle the mirror in the natural mirror position when the camera is off. This just means I am constantly adjusting the mirror. • Only front and rear camera inputs. I wanted to run two rear view cameras (one to see what is behind me and one for hooking up trailers) so I spliced together a two wiring harnesses and put an on-off-on switch in. This allows me to cut power to one camera and switch to the other camera. • At night both rear view cameras flare headlights. (*Note. It only comes with one backup camera but I ordered another Wolfbox camera that uses the same connection). Both cameras had the same result. • Objects on both cameras are much closer then they appear on the video feed. This really negates any advantage of using the camera to see what is behind you because it gives you a false sense of security that things behind you are distant when they are actually much closer. This is a safety issue for me so I mostly keep the camera off unless I am backing up as it still records when it is off. • There is no way to shut off the recording permanently. It resets and comes back on after whatever interval you set between 1-3 minutes. • The lock video feature is way to sensitive even on low. It locks the video on mildly bumpy dirt roads, dips, parking lot speed bumps (even going slow). It even locked the video when I closed the door passenger door once! • I thought the voice control would work better but it is very limited on what it can do so I constantly have fingerprints on my camera screen. Why does everything have to have a touch screen........call me old fashioned but I miss physical buttons! There is one for power why not the other features? Sigh, oh well. Features I really wish it had: • Zoom - Optical would be cool but I would settle for digital. I can move the camera view up and down in the software why not add a zoom feature? This would counteract the "objects appear in camera a million miles away" affect. • Adjustable front camera - I hate moving the mirror to move the front camera. The front camera should have some left/right/up/down swivel motion, like a ball joint or something. • Multiple camera inputs - for side mount cameras and additional backup cams • Greater wide angle - It get that this is a trade off between field of view and distortion control but an old camera I had mounted in roughly the same place allowed for a much greater field of view and was only minimally distorted. In conclusion, since I already spliced the wiring harness and got everything installed, I decided to keep the camera. However had I known the max's limitations, I probably would have gone with one of the cheaper models or a different brand. Hope this helps! Hope this helps!

Great addition to my Car!!
Honestly an amazing mirror dash cam. All the tools and wires that came with dash cam makes the installation so easy and simple on my car and so far it works great. Both front and rear cameras are extremely nice quality and high resolution. I love that it records both front and back camera the entire time when it's running. This dash cam also got tons of features that's so useful, I don’t regret buying this for my car. Highly recommend!

It’s a great product
I installed it in my 2012 Ford Escape, and so far, there have been no issues. I’m very satisfied with the video quality of both the front and rear cameras. It works perfectly even during winter in Canada.

Great Rear View Camera
I have the P12 Pro Max in my 2019 F150 and I love it. I can see in the blind spots and it does a decent job in the dark whether I’m in the city or the highway. It would be hard for me to go back to a regular rear view mirror. The rearview camera died after a year which was disappointing but Pelsee has agreed to send a replacement free of charge. Also, it’s nearly impossible to find a mount to replace the OEM bracket for a cleaner look.

Perfect
Still learning all the operations for this Great camera. Time consuming to install with hard wire kit for monitoring 24/7.I recommend.

Rear view camera has a poor rear view.
The front view is excellent. However, my main purpose of buying this mirror is to see the traffic in the back (not in the front). The rear view camera is useless. It is very much affected by the ambient light and almost all the time one can hardly see anything clearly during the day (even in a cloudy day). At night, again the view is terrible. Your car's original rear view mirror is far superior to this.
