Without Any Equivocation, These Boots are the Best Workshoes I've Ever Owned.
Due to the fact that I have serious Neuropathy in both feet, and my left foot is larger than my right foot, I'm always hesitant to purchase shoes or boots--any shoes or boots. And, I'm even more hesitant to purchase work boots without having the opportunity to first try them. So, it was with great trepidation that I purchased this pair of Caterpillar Work Boots. Nevertheless, I just sort of "let it rip." Once the Caterpillar Work Boots arrived, I tried them on, and wore them inside my house. Obviously, I figured if the fit was less-than-acceptable, or they hurt my feet, I'd simply box them up and return them to Amazon. Amazingly, not only did they NOT hurt my feet, they fit spectacularly well; and they were even comfortable. Now, I've purchased far-too-many pairs of work boots throughout my life to even attempt to keep count, and NEVER have I ever had a pair of work boots fit as well as the Caterpillar Work Boots. They are simply amazing--I have no other way to describe them. Since receiving these Caterpillar Work Boots back in February 2020, I've worn them a number of times; and when I've worn them, I've had them on for an extended period of hours. I'm serious when I say these Caterpillar Work Boots are even more comfortable than any of my New Balance athletic shoes. Due to my severe Neuropathy, my Podiatrist suggested that I wear New Balance athletic shoes. New Balance athletic shoes are supposed to be "the poor man's answer to severe Neuropathy." And, I do agree that they ARE for "poor men"; I wear New Balance athletic shoes because my Podiatrist wanted to sell me a pair of custom-maid Diabetic shoes at the very pricey sum of $1,050.00 (one thousand fifty dollars, and zero cents). Since my health insurance plan will not cover the custom made Diabetic shoes, and custom-made insoles (i.e.; inserts), also at the extremely pricey sum of $450.00 (four hundred fifty dollars, and zero cents), I'm on-my-own for modalities. Well, heck, wearing the Caterpillar Work Boots is so comfortable I just might make them my "everyday shoes." After all I'm a resident of deep-south southwestern North Carolina, way up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, so around these here-parts, the Caterpillar Work Boots just might be considered "very down-home; and very, very stylish." Y'all never know! But, I'd definitely recommend these Caterpillar Work Boots: they're very comfortable; exceptionally durable (they haven't even begun to show the slightest bit of wear); they have a great safety track record; and they're quite affordable. And, if you doubt me about the "affordable" part of my review, just check the prices on some of the competitor's work boots. You'll be shocked! The Caterpillar Work Boots are definitely deserving of Five Stars!

Great boot
Great fit. Fast delivery. I took off a star for the uncomfortableness of the boot. It takes a bit to break in and are not high enough for my liking. It’s just my opinion on comfort. Otherwise great boot. Great seller!

Best Pair of Boots I’ve Ever Owned
So I bought these boots a couple weeks ago after doing much research online trying to figure out which steel toe brands and styles were the most comfortable, as I HATE steel toe (they are always so uncomfortable on my toes) but I needed them for a job. The 2nd Shift were one of the boots that had the highest rating, so naturally, I decided to give them a shot. My original order came fast but didn’t fit as expected since I had mistakenly ordered the medium fit instead of wide fit because I have big, dumb feet. I ended up calling Amazon and had no trouble getting my money back and the order returned. I was credited the amount and used that to get the wide fit version and HOLY CRAP these boots are AMAZING. After walking around in them for a few min, they felt just the right amount of worn in and fit like a glove! The construction is definitely solid, you can tell just by looking at them. They’re water/oil slip and shock resistant and are easy on your feet. I can’t even feel the steel toe, which is just fantastic. The leather is hard and stands up to punishment. They don’t look ugly either, like a standard work boot I feel proud to wear. My only warning is make sure you order a size to half a size smaller than what you would normally get. I say this because I tried them on in a store before ordering them online to get a feel for them. I didn’t buy them from the store because they didn’t have the color I needed for my job (black.) I usually wear a 10/10.5 but for these, the 9.5 were perfect. From what I see from other reviews, these bad boys last a year or more if you wear them on a daily basis. I guess we’ll see how long they last, as I can assure you I’d buy them again if they went that long. I’ll be coming back to Caterpillar.

Pretty Good
These boots are pretty decent. I have high arches in my feet, though, so the insoles aren't particularly useful. I put some of Dr Scholls insoles in, and it seems to improve a bit. However, as I purchased a size 14 pair, there was only one option at any of the stores I went to (seriously, everything was size 8-13, only a single thing went to size 14 and it was the same thing everywhere). As to the traction, it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I've recently started working at a factory(ish) place that makes mocha powder for Starbucks, and that powder gets EVERYWHERE, especially on the floor. With my old gym shoes, I could slide around pretty easily (which was sometimes rather fun), but this is a rather dangerous situation. I heard from one of my coworkers that they make boots for exactly this sort of thing, so I got these (they are advertised as having high traction). Unfortunately, I still slide around on powder a bit, but mostly when it's piled up on the floor or built up on the bottom of the shoe. However, I don't think that it's possible to get a perfect grip on a smooth floor covered in powder (without damaging the floor, at least) because, while the shoe may have a perfect grip on the powder on the bottom, the powder does NOT have a good grip on the floor, so I end up sliding anyway (kind of like standing on a chair with wheels. You might have perfect traction on the chair, but the chair can still roll around). In any case, the traction is better than my old gym shoes, at least. I've also noticed a bit of a problem with my ankle being rather loose in the boot. I've no idea whether it's because the boot is too big (I doubt it, but it might be something around half a size too big if it is) or because that's just the way these boot designs are (This is the first pair of boots I've ever bought). This is an extremely annoying problem. It does largely go away when I make sure to really tighten the shoe laces at the top of the boot, though. As to how much I wear them, I have to stand on my feet for around 8-10 hours per work day. Every now and then, I'll have to do a 12 hour shift. My feet are fine at the beginning, but they do begin to get sore at the end, so the boots certainly aren't magic clouds of foot comfort wonder. The soreness is beginning to go away, though, so it's also quite reasonable to believe the cause to simply be because I'm unaccustomed to standing all day long. In short, the boots are pretty good. The insoles aren't quite suited to my feet, but my feet have rather high arches. The traction is pretty good, as long as you don't go walking around on piles of mocha powder. The comfort seems reasonable as well, but it's not super awesome foot heaven (not that any shoe is super awesome foot heaven, anyway). I'd be fairly comfortable in recommending these boots to another person.

Just buy them you won't regret
Love these boots, wear them 50 hours a week. They last me about 2 years.

Boots Built For Common Sense
It’s a boot with an OSHA-acceptable steel toe. If these boots fail to meet your expectations because they wear out faster than anticipated, you may want to look at how they’re being used rather than blaming the manufacturer. Some people simply require something built by NASA. You can Google them—they’re located in Huntsville, Alabama. Scientists specialize in indestructible things. This is the kind of boot that may make you rethink happy hour between 5 and 7 PM. Cute tags? No. Special colors? Also no. They are brown. Ankle support? Yes—if you have regular ankles. What counts as “regular” depends on you. Do they protect your foot? Yes. It’s a steel toe. Unless you’re planning on an airplane landing on your foot, these boots meet the standard requirement. The sole is comfortable, but make no mistake—this is a steel-toed boot. If you want to wear house shoes to work, a work-from-home job may be a better fit. Steel toes are not required for influencers. But if you need to pass through job-site security where steel toes are required, these boots are friends to your metatarsals. Let’s be honest—you care at least a little about what your coworkers say behind your back. Knockoff boots draw attention, just not the kind you want. Caterpillar boots can save you some insecurity. While everyone else is standing during lunch, you’ll be standing with them instead of hiding your feet under the table. Basic Amazon questions answered: Safe? Yes. Comfortable? Yes. Saving your self-esteem? Also yes. Five pm happy hour? Maybe but it won’t be because of your boots.

Excellent boots, great construction, real leather, comfortable, and they look nice too!
I bought these for my hubby. He is a licensed plumber and HVAC certified tech, and is on his feet all day(and sometimes in the rafters lol), so he needs a solid pair of boots. These were a steal for just under $70. He loves them! He usually wears an 11.5 and these size 11.5 fit perfect. His foot is 29.5 centimeters. The size chart is accurate, so measure your foot! He usually gets tan color, but that color, same boot, was $20 more, so he settled for dark brown color. Well when he opened the box he was pleasantly surprised to find they look much better in person, not to mention they are pre-oiled so they won't stain. He had timberland pros and he likes these much better! Says they are super comfy. I must admit I'm really digging the dark brown leather much more than the tan, it looks good on him! They look expensive and have such a sharp, clean look. I will definitely be purchasing these again for him. Can you say quality? They're high quality! Better than timberland and craftsman, which are the two other brands he's had (and many pairs of them!). They seem to only last him 5-6 months and it's time for a new pair, but these are holding up great and I think he will get more wear out of these boots than he normally does. One thing I want to add is that these boots have a steel toe. Which is fine for spring, summer, and autumn seasons, but come winter he goes with either a fiberglass toe or soft boot, because the steel gets really cold! We live in Massachusetts and the winters can be brutal when you work in unheated construction, so cold toes is a no-no. Lol! Come winter we will check out Catepillar brand boots that don't have the steel toe. Great buy, high quality, definitely recommend.

Good boots, top where they sewed the tongue is way to tight.
I really wanted to like these boots. They are well made and sturdy. They fit prefect for length and width, however, where the tongue of the boot is sewed to the top of the front it's way to tight! Even wore them for two days, careful not to scuff them or modify them in any way, yet that part of the boot that goes over the top of my foot never got any better. After the top of my foot became bruised from wearing these, and I could no longer stand the pain inflicted though I was hoping they would at least show signs of improvement like other boots I've owned, I've given up. I am returning them. I don't know if the design was some how not followed in this pair or if the design didn't take into account taller feet, in any case I can't wear these. I ordered the wide style in my size. Like I said, length was perfect, width was just right, a very solid boot. Just not designed at the top of the foot area veer well. I know a boot needs to firmly fit to be comfortable for all day wearing and work, but these are more than a firm fit, they are excruciatingly tight on top of the foot only where the leather of the boot is sewn to the bottom of the tongue.
