I gotta hype this stuff up because I’m honestly over the moon about it curing my scalp issues. For the last year or two, I’ve been battling for the first time EVER what I thought was dandruff extreme buildup, flakes all over my scalp, and even patches on my ears. I was washing my hair so much because from the minute I’d get out of the shower the MINUTE I’d still have flakes on my scalp!! Like chunks of flakes not little ones It was a total nightmare, and I felt so insecure. I tried everything to figure out what was going on dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, dry scalp, product buildup, allergic reactions etc. The tiny oily scaly patches that would come up on my ears made me think it was SD caused by Malassezia yeast I went through so many products and tricks, but nothing fully worked ▪ Nizoral which targets Malassezia with its antifungal ingredient, ketoconazole, but ketoconazole and selenium sulfide (the ingredient in the shampoo that worked) havedifferent mechanisms. Selenium sulfide has a stronger effect on reducing skin cell turnover. ▪Head & Shoulders which uses zinc pyrithione, which is antifungal and antibacterial but less potent against severe Malassezia overgrowth compared to selenium sulfide. It’s great for mild dandruff but might not have been strong enough. ▪T-Gel which uses coal tar to slow skin cell growth and reduce inflammation, but it’s not as effective against fungal causes like Malassezia. ▪ Salicylic acid which exfoliates the scalp to remove flakes and buildup, but it doesn’t target yeast or fungal overgrowth. ▪ Natural Remedies like tea tree oil or apple cider vinegar which can have mild antifungal properties, but they’re often not strong enough for stubborn cases of dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis. ▪ Washing less, washing more, changing my diet, limiting products to just shampoo and conditioner or even just water—I tried it all! The flakes just kept coming back, and I was ready to book a dermatologist appointment because I couldn’t take it anymore. Then I saw a random comment on TikTok raving about this shampoo so I figured, why not? I got the shampoo and conditioner, and OH MY GOD, it’s been a game-changer! Finally I found shampoo that really gets rid of my itchy scalp! This shampoo is wonderful! Great for my scalp and hair!

For context: I have very oily scalp and very dry ends. Like if I don't wash my hair in 3 days, my scalp gets really stinky and my roots flat. I also have very long hair that reaches down to my butt. The problem with the shampoos I've used before is that they clean my scalp really good but then leave my hair especially the ends dry and rough. I developed this big and crusty flakes that caused redness in my scalp and every time I scratch, I would scrape off chunks of build ups. Also, even after a thorough wash when I scratch my scalp, tiny flakes would come off. It was so bad so I tried everything from heavily medicated anti dandruff shampoos, Head and shoulders, dove, salon/ professional grade shampoos, nothing would work. They would either make my scalp so dry and tight? and my hair so lifeless and DRY!! Nothing helped with the flakiness, the oiliness and persistent itching till I used this product. It has a scent to it but nothing overpowering. I wash my hair 2-3x a week focusing on my scalp, and I also use a scalp massager/ shampooing brush. I use just enough to make a really good lather (this product lathers very good) and I make sure to let it sit for 2-5 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. I also make sure to dry my scalp and hair really good and not go to sleep with wet hair!! I've been using this product for a month now and I just can't thank this product enough for fixing my scalp. No more small flakes, no more chunky yucky build up, no more itch and redness!! I also notice that my hair doesn't dry out at all, and my scalp feel clean but not stripped.
