I have seen this product, and it's like, for months. I always thought it was neat, but not necessary. After using it, I am sad that it took so long for me to get one. I was able to put five chicken thighs in at a time and have it shredded in half a dozen turns back and forth. What took me 5 minutes before took me 1. And when you have three children that are "starving to death" time matters. this is definitely worth the purchase if your cooking regularly and shredding. If you don't need to shred don't both. Now I'm gonna go try and shred some lettuce.

When first seeing this item I started to wonder how exactly does one get the consistency of shredded chicken. This product does shred chicken but with limited capability. The design is ideal but the plastic materials that are used are just ok. Obviously it would be better in the shredder was metal but given the cost it wasn't an option. I think the device does OK and I will probably use this to shred my chicken instead of using a knife. I'm not sure how well it will work with coarser foods such as steak. If the food your shredding cannot be pulled apart easily then using this shredder will be a challenge.

The product might work for very tender meats like roast beef or pulled pork, but anything tougher would be a challenge. Overall, it's a decent tool for shredding chicken, but it may not be as versatile for shredding other types of meats.

This shredder works but there is little to it. This is a pain to use because you have to pick the entire bottom up to dump the chicken which is the quickest way if you are scredding a lot of chicken. The color is pretty, it is made of plastic and the bottom does slip while you are shredding. I would prefer one with quality suction cups on the bottom and a removable insert.
