Wireless receiver is also included in this kit which is a big plus. I’m used to using the Rode line of mics but, I gotta say this might be my new favorite mic. Very versatile. There’s more you can do with this as Rode is more of a plug and play. Sound, I feel like Rode might have the advantage but, the Comica VM30 has more features and control you just can’t ignore. Audio is clear and good, just less bass-y than Rode. Better construction overall and having the option to turn it into a boom mic is a plus, especially when working on smaller projects, it’s a win. I’m also able to wireless set up the mic on a tripod and has been working great. It’s been reliable so far and easy to use. A lot of people will say Rode is simple, which it is but, the Comica VM30 is not that much harder for a beginner to figure out.
