I have my rat cage lined with puppy pads, and I placed these mats on top. My rats love to sleep on and chew on them. In fact, they prefer the mats over their previous bedding, which was pieces of soft shredded up blanket. They used to love it but now they drag it out of their house and just sleep on the mats. Once a week when I do a thorough clean, I spray a *very* diluted apple cider vinegar/water solution on the mats, do a quick wipe down with a sponge, and then rinse them thoroughly with hot water in the tub. It takes me about 5 minutes, and they air dry within an hour, or just a few minutes if I use a blow dryer. However now that they are potty trained I find that I just have to rinse with hot water, and only ocassionaly use the vinegar mixture. It takes them about an hour to air dry and I throw them back in the cage. They do tear the mats up, but I have had them for 3 weeks now and they are still in tact. I recon it depends on your rats whether or not they will last.

Our bunny loves these but they make a real mess so you may want to keep them in confined areas.

I frequently buy this woven grass mat for my indoor rabbit, and she absolutely loves it! She enjoys tearing it apart and throwing it around, it keeps her busy and away from things she shouldn’t chew. It doesn’t last forever (because she likes destroying it!), but that’s part of the fun. Definitely a great enrichment item for any rabbit or small pet.

I have two holland lop adult rabbits. They are active girls and get bored easily. I could tell after a day or two that they were go at these mats for their comfort. Everyone else is right, it makes for a mess but I didn’t care. I am glad my girls had fun with them. Will be buying more.

Ces petits tapis sont parfaits ! Je les avais disposés pour créer une sorte de cachette confortable, et ma lapine a adoré… au point de les grignoter joyeusement 😄 Ils sont bien tissés, naturels, sans odeur chimique, et apparemment très appétissants pour un lapin !
