This 51mm bottomless portafilter is a great upgrade. It fits perfectly on my machine and feels solid and well-built. The stainless steel basket is high quality and allows for excellent extraction and crema. Using a bottomless portafilter helped me improve my grind size, tamping, and overall shot consistency. It’s also very easy to clean and looks great. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their espresso setup and technique.

My Delonghi espresso machine only came with a high pressure portafilter and the results in flavor from that to this Cassabrew is night and day. What a huge difference in flavor and the amount of the crema is amazing. Not cast aluminum lightweight and cheap but stainless steel with a filter screen on top of grounds for easier cleanup and quality of coffee.

I’m still learning how to make a good cup of espresso. But this feels premium, there’s a good weight to it, but not too heavy. It fits the casabrews 5418 perfectly. I love the wood handle as opposed to the stock black one. Additionally this comes with a small guide with many q/a’s about how to improve your shots, as well as some coffee bean brand recommendations. Which I very much appreciate, being new to espressos.

For the most part this portafilter works pretty good in my Gevi espresso machine. Sometimes the espresso drips off the side and/or runs down the handle. This could be an error on my part. (Too many grounds? Grounds not even spread?) I have ordered a different one and will try it before I decide whether to send this one back.

Build quality 5 stars Universality 3 stars This 51mm portafilter will work with a Farberware machine, but it’s not plug-and-play. You have to put in some work or you’ll get inconsistent shots. It took me about 5–6 shots to figure out the right setup. Weighing your beans is a must, and proper distribution and tamping are critical—if you skip those steps, it will leak out the sides during extraction. Once dialed in, it’s usable and can pull a decent shot, just not as forgiving as an OEM portafilter. I also recommend letting your machine warm up for about 10 minutes. My first shot came out at 125°F, and the second was 157°F, so temperature stability definitely matters. Not perfect, but doable if you’re willing to take your time and be precise.

Good portafilter, game changer for my espressos, but leaves watery pucks, not sure if it’s due to the basket.

Not only did it come dirty with leftover espresso dried to the basket and handle but when you go to actually use it the espresso squirts out from all the sides and makes a huge mess. I had more espresso on my floor and counter than I did in the cup. I do not recommend

Great value for the money! The old one broke off my espresso machine and this one is so heavy duty in comparison. Very smooth and great espresso.

Hogh quality product! The wood has an soft feel and great color. Stainless steel is heavy and high polish. Fits the Casabrews cm5418 machine perfectly. No leaks at all. If you dial in your shot well, you'll get a smooth flow of espresso. The screen is heavy duty as well. Price is spot on.

It doesn’t work as described. Doesn’t make creamy coffee. I tried everything. It seems there something with the pressure that should be created before the coffee brews. Too bad.

It is a good item, but the wooden handle tends to loosen up from the metal part, which is not good.

Perfectly fits my DeLonghi Classic Line EM450 espresso maker. Excellent quality, very heavy. It weighs about 4x more than the cheap one that comes with the machine…and no leaking.

Looks great but I cannot get it to work worth a damn! Pressure seems good but still spraying everywhere. Change beans, grind, tools and still can’t get it to work without spraying everywhere.
