Kendall Ryan is the Queen of romance and swoony love stories!!! And this is the reason why I love her books and her writing!!! I have always been a sucker for a great forbidden romance and Kendall delivered that in spades. She gave us a story between two people who are immediately connected to each other, but later find out that they shouldn’t be together. This story was engaging, sweet, sexy and truly entertaining. I have to say I think Zach might just be my favorite Kendall Ryan Hero to date!!! He was sweet, swoony, had a way with words both sweet and dirty ;) and didn’t play any games. He went after what he wanted and didn’t give up….no matter how many times Poppy pushed him away. And how couldn’t a person melt when you read about his interaction with Connor. Poppy and Connor are very lucky people!!! I also liked Poppy’s character. She was a strong single mother who loved her son fiercely. I thought she was the perfect match for Zach. I loved the slow burn of their relationship. I thought Kendall wrote their story at the perfect pace. It truly helped the reader connect and feel their connection!!! This story isn’t overloaded with a lot of drama that we normally see in contemporary romances these days and I found that to be refreshing. I also loved the perfect mix of, swoon, sexy, and humorous times. Kendall’s secondary characters in this story added the perfect comedic relief to the story. I loved Kody, Jodee and Zach’s mom. They had me laughing out loud!!!! xo, Zach is Kendall’s latest standalone novel and it is told in Dual POV. The flow and pace of this story was perfect and I think this might be Kendall Ryan at her finest!!! I think this is one of my all time favorite books of Kendall’s. This story will sweep you away and let you live in another world for a little while. It’s the perfect escapism. This is definitely one of my favorite books of 2018 so far!!! If you are a fan of Kendall Ryan’s then you must read this delicious story and if you have never read any of Kendall’s books, then don’t wait…Start your wonderful journey with xo,Zach!!!

xo, Zach is a sweet and unexpected read. Smartly written and entertaining; xo, Zach is filled with lots of heart and will be sure to make you swoon. xo, Zach follows the story of Zach and Poppy. From the moment you pick up their story, you can’t help but be drawn to the two of them. These two characters will captivated you and before you know it, will have you devouring every single word of their story. xo, Zach is the kind of book that once you start it, you won’t want to put it down. The writing is entertaining and the characters are addicting. xo, Zach is the perfect book to spend your afternoon getting lost in. From the moment we meet Zach and Poppy, the sparks are flying. The chemistry between Zach and Poppy is intense and one of a kind. The push and pull between them is real and honest. Zach is all that and a bag of chips. He is sexy, honest, mature, knows exactly what he wants and what he’s looking for. And his filthy mouth doesn’t hurt either! Poppy is smart, hard-working, determined and has sworn off men….that is until she met Zach. Zach is the kind of guy that just makes you want to throw all your rules out the window and enjoy the ride. Together, these two are unstoppable. The tension between the two of them is so palpable. It will keep you on pins and needles and will have you enjoying all of those will they, won’t they moments. xo, Zach was a fabulous read from beginning to end. I loved the forbidden quality to the story and couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters. Zach’s mom was a total riot and had me in tears laughing at her antics. This story was just filled with so much heart and sweetness, but still had the laughter and alpha charm that we have come to love from Kendall Ryan’s romantic comedies. Zach is the perfect book boyfriend that will leaving you swooning and breathless, all in the same moment. This book hit all the marks and left me with a huge smile on my face. Simply put I adored it and look forward to seeing what this author has in store for us next!

Fantastic story! Zach was such a hot, romantic, dirty talker. How could anyone resist him? Poppy definitely couldn’t! Poppy fell for Zach the minute she saw him across the room at a party that she didn’t even want to be at. When she approached him and asked him to be her pretend boyfriend for a few minutes he couldn’t say no. The attraction between these two was immediate and on both sides. Poppy leaves him and says if it is meant to be they will meet again. Oops, she meets him the following week when she shows up for her first meeting with her college advisor- Zach. They both realize that they can’t be together because she is a student and he is her advisor and yet they can’t stay away from each other. Poppy has a reason for being more cautious about being with Zach but he doesn’t know this. He just knows he has never felt this way about anyone and wants her. Poppy has more reasons to take it slow and make sure this is worth any repercussions that they might face. Poppy eventually realizes she wants Zach enough to figure out a solution which Zach takes care of. Zach’s Mom, Velma, is a hoot and I wish we had been able to have more of her. Even though she is out there in what she says- no filter on this woman!- Zach is never embarrassed by his mom. This is a fantastic book and from beginning to end I was hooked and couldn’t put it down.

Absolutely loved this book! The connection between Zach and Poppy is there from the start, yet Poppy fights that attraction as it's not just her she has to think about, but also her 7yo son, Connor. The story was beautifully written and I loved both MCs. The supporting characters were well written, fun and definitely likeable too. In fact, I can't think of anything I didn't like!! I enjoyed the slightly taboo nature of their relationship, but liked that he wasn't her professor or teacher, he was just an advisor so it really breaking the rules, but skirting close. That they were both honest and upfront with each other the whole time just made me love them and their relationship more, and I was glad there wasn't any real angst or third party introduced - it was just them working out what they truly wanted in life and setting their priorities. I loved the epilogue as well. Beautifully written and a romance I'd definitely recommend!!

This was just the book I needed sweet slightly sappy with very little drama. What do you do when your dumped and in walks your ex with his new girlfriend, you could walk away or be like Poppy and pretend you’ve got a new man. Enter stage left Zach in all his perfectness. Why I have I never met a Zach, he’s funny and sweet, romantic and could charm you out your pants with very little effort. Poppy is a single mom working hard to make a good life for her son. Poppy has been hurt in the past so it was fun reading Zach trying to break through her insecurities I really enjoyed this book and I’m going to go back and read the authors previous books. reviewed by Sweet Spot Sisterhood

This book was adorable.

Despite still bring fairly new to Kendall Ryan and I’m a fan of hers and was looking forward to reading XO, Zach. Zach and Poppy had a lot going against their potential relationship - the discovery that Zach was Poppy’s college advisor, Zach’s future plans and Poppy’s already big commitment - but their connection, their chemistry, is something worth fighting for. Kendall has written a sweet and sexy story that has elements of angst, taboo and romantic comedy - and I feel like none of them really hit the mark. Couple that with the fact that all the conflicts I mentioned above are resolved rather easily and the nature of the (ridiculously) slooooooooow burn of the romance between Zach and Poppy and this isn’t one of my favourite reads by Kendall. I was also disappointed by the lack of poetry shared in the book, considering Zach and Poppy were well versed in that area. In saying that, at no point did I ever think about not finishing the book as I was keen to find out how it all ended. I absolutely loved all the supporting characters - Poppy’s best friends Jodee and Kody were hilarious, as was Zach’s mum (could Jodee and/or Kody get their own stories too please?!?). And the sex scenes, they were top notch!! Kendall sure knows how to get me all hot and bothered 🔥😉 So this one is a 3.5 stars from me. It’s definitely worth adding to your tbr.

I enjoyed reading this story, Zach came across as a lovely guy which is hard to find in your typical romance bokks; most male characters are written as hard, rude male whores, but Zach just seems like a normal person which is so refreshing to read. I liked the fact Poppy wasn't just an average, boring, lust-stricken student crushing on her adviser, but she actually had morals and thought about her own future, as well as her sons. Their sexual chemistry came across really well, my only problem was that the story seemed rushed. They started talking because Poppy told Zach he needed to pretend to be her boyfriend at a party to make her ex jealous, but it was over too quickly?? Not even sure why it was part of the book, I would've preferred if they actually interacted with the ex at the party, played along a bit more to make it interesting. The ex could've popped up later in the book too just to create a little bit of tension and suspense to keep the plot exciting. Also, I would've loved to have seen more poems from Zach to Poppy, it was hinted that he wrote her poems every Monday but we only got to read one, which was a shame. Even with these points mentioned, it's still definitely worth a read.
