I am a pretty light sleeper. I have four children, ages 9-17, and sometimes they stay up late, sometimes they wander into my room to get something or other late at night, sometimes my husband snores or coughs, :) and sometimes we have a train that goes by the house at night. Just typical life stuff, but I crack my eyelid for a second when I hear things, and obviously that's pulling me out of good sleep. I used to turn on the fan in my bathroom, hoping to drown out some of the noise. I also got a white noise maker to try to drown things out even more. I liked having those things, but I was still being woken up. These sleepbuds are a life saver for blocking all those little noises that would normally interrupt my sleep (even if just briefly). First, they are very comfortable. The medium size fits my ear very well. You need to twist it back into your ear for the little wing tip to fit snugly into the groove of your ear. Once you've got them in, there is no risk of them falling out. I am a side sleeper and 95% of the night I sleep on only my right side, so I usually just put the left ear in, and my right ear is pressed against the pillow. The sounds in the app are very soothing. My favorite right now is Crimson Cloak, which has a very nice even tone in the middle range. It's perfect white noise. I've also slept with the crackling fire one, and the raindrops one - and both are also soothing. But, I go back to the simple white noise options most often. There are not very many sleep sounds in the Ozlo app, only about ten (I'd love if there were more options), but I had no trouble finding one I like. Plus, I have a subscription to Headspace and I'm able to use these sleepbuds with their night sounds if I want. One thing I like about the sounds in the app is that they don't overwhelm. It doesn't feel like anything is blasting in your ear. The sound almost feels "far away" like you're hearing it from outside a window. This is not a defect of the earbuds, because I can use the buds when listening to other things on my phone and it sounds great. I think it is a feature of the sounds within the app. They don't feel overwhelming, and I have no trouble falling right to sleep. My husband thinks I must be getting into a pretty deep sleep when I wear them, because he says I make noises in my sleep when I'm really out :) and I've been doing that ever since wearing these. I dream often, so maybe that's why?? Every morning my husband is asking, "Did you hear me cough? Did you hear me get up in the night? Did you hear the dog bark?" and whenever I answer "no" he is super impressed. I sleep about 7-8 hours a night and the battery always lasts through the night. But, they do have to go back in the case to charge every day. One night I put one of the earbuds back in the case flipped 180, and so it didn't charge, and that night it did not have enough battery to use it. Connecting them up to my phone was easy. They walk you through how to do it in the app. It took about 30 minutes for the updates to download and then it was ready to go. They auto connect via bluetooth when I open the case. But, one odd thing is that to disconnect them I have to put them back in the case, close the lid, and then turn off my bluetooth for a second so they disconnect. I'm hoping that is something that can be fixed, so they disconnect automatically when I put them back in the case in the morning. My husband keeps talking about wanting to try them, but I'm reluctant to not have them for a night while he tries them out :). I guess I'll just have to get him his own pair!

Had them less than 24 hours and I already know … they are going back. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time and money with these. Go for a cheap, ~35-ish pair and get about the same performance with better battery life and a better charging case. Or - if you only care about noise blockage and not streaming or sleep sounds, get the wax ear plugs ($15 for 10 reusable pairs) and sleep sleep sleep away in silence, even on an airplane. I read the reviews of Ozlo and decided to try them anyway, even with the mixed sentiments. I am an experienced user of sleep buds and ear plugs due to years of travel, noise sensitivity, and a snoring spouse. These absolutely are not worth the money. The flags arose even before sleeping with them. Red flag #1: Trying to download the update. They were connected to my phone but the app didn’t recognize that and wouldn’t install the update. Tried over several hours and this morning. No dice. Red flag #2: They don’t charge evenly. Not sure how or why, but after several hours in the case, one was 100% and one was 3%. As another reviewer said, the case looks and feels nice but is impractical and, I think, very sensitive to perfect positioning. If the case is anywhere but on a flat surface, I fear it won’t work properly. Not good if you travel. Red flag #3: The fit isn’t snug enough to block sound. Nuff said about that. Also, one came out of my ear while sleeping and I had to look for it. You don’t want that on a plane or in a hotel room. For fun, at the same time, I purchased a $35 pair to evaluate them side by side. I am keeping those. They are slightly bigger but still comfortable and, for the money, seem to do just as well. They also have a cool feature where you click four times and it turns them to sleep mode so that you don’t press buttons via the pillow while you sleep. They give you the audible that they are in sleep mode. Great. I also now have the Soundcore A30s and those are also far better than the Oslo’s. If Beats Fit Pro were smaller and had a feature to go to a similar sleep mode, they would be fabulous sleepers for home. I also have the Philips Kokoon. I would recommend these over the Ozlo, even though their sound quality isn’t the greatest. The best thing about these is that they connect quickly and easily, and the left and right are held together by a wire that goes behind your neck. It’s not bad and you get used to it. That’s also good for airplanes and hotel rooms because you are less likely to misplace one. Skip the Ozlo’s. Not worth the money.

Just returned from a week-long trip where both my wife and I used these every night. We had tried using Bose sleepbuds when they first came on the market and found the reliability to be wanting (Bose tried a few different designs and were very good about replacing the originals and refunding us when they finally took them off the market). The Ozlo Sleepbuds performed very well. They are quite comfortable. They come with 3 sizes of replaceable rubber ear fittings. I used the standard size with no problem and may experiment with other sizes to see if that offers any improvement. The selection of sounds is pretty good. I would be happy if they offered even more of them, but am satisfied with the current selection. The built in alarm is also useful - you will likely use it as the sound masking is very effective and sounds that might normally wake you in the morning are inaudible. And, of course, that means that the sounds you are trying to mask that bother you when sleeping are also effectively eliminated. There is volume control for both sleep audio and alarms as well. I’ve only had these for a few weeks now but so far the quality seems very dependable. They work very similarly to my Apple AirPods, and I suspect that technology advancements since the earlier Bose versions have made it possible to manufacture more reliable small battery products like these. Like Apple’s AirPods, they are stored in a case that you charge and the sleepbuds charge while inside the case. You get about 10 hours from charged sleepbuds, and about 3-4 full charges from the case, which makes them easy to maintain and travel with. They have so far made sleeping while traveling much more enjoyable and I recommend them.

I’m a side sleeper and had been using one of those headband things with audio but with long hair and bangs, it was kind of a PITA, it didn’t stay in place, the audio quality wasn’t great, and the connectivity was iffy. The sleepbuds have much better sound and block more noises (without actually blocking them). A few times I’ve had to check that my phone audio wasn’t on speaker because it sounded so loud but I was the only one who could hear it and it was just the buds! They also never get too loud - even when I think it’s audio from my phone, the sound level is still pretty moderate. They don’t hold a charge for long - I get maybe two nights on a charge (and this is starting with a fully charged case and two fully charged buds). That’s kind of annoying - it seems like they should last at least three nights; I have other running earbuds whose cases keep them charged at 100% for more hours than these, so that’s disappointing. The way they connect through the app is also annoying. They’re Bluetooth - I should be able to take them out of the case and put them in, done (like other Bluetooth ear buds). But these you have to have the case open, then close it, reopen, then wait for them to be sensed through the app, and then wait a bit more for them to actually connect. It’s only a few more steps, but when you’re tired and have to sit there waiting for your earbuds, it’s annoying. I like the alarm feature in that my partner doesn’t hear it and it wakes me up but it’s not jarring. A few times, I haven’t been able to turn it off or snooze it because the app was closed - there was literally no way to stop the alarm without removing the buds and putting them back in the case. In terms of fit, I have no problems with one ear. The other one has more issues. Part of my ear is rubbed and has been rubbed raw by the bud. It really hurts. Sometimes, I can get it just right so it doesn’t hurt, or if I move my head a certain way on the pillow, it doesn’t hurt as much. Most nights, I end up taking out it out. I’ve tried the different sizes and they don’t see to make a difference. I’m on the smallest size now and it still feels a bit too large for that one ear. Im not a small person (5’10”, 175 lbs) and I don’t think my ears are abnormally small. I’ve reviewed the videos and help and don’t think there is anything else I can try. I’m planning to keep them as my sleep quality has improved and they do what they say. I wish the charging, connection, alarm management, and fit weren’t issues for me, but perhaps they will improve with updates (except for the fit, of course - I don’t think I have any planned updates for myself, lol). Cost - yeah, they’re spendy. Seems high compared with other top-quality buds with their own unique tech and features, but I don’t know enough about what goes into the design of these things to say whether they are overpriced or not. Quality - the case seems pretty solid though I could see the top breaking off somehow. It would be nice if there was a non-skid surface on the bottom or if there was an option to choose a case color - these would make it less likely to lose while traveling. The charging lines for the buds in the case are easy to interpret; the charging light for the case, not so much - it’s a green dot on the back, but (at least mine) doesn’t seem to indicate when it’s done; you have to open the case to look at the dots. It’d be nice if those dots were on the exterior.

*Changes Below... I have been extremely torn on whether to give these three or four stars. I would say 3.5, but I can't, and I can't say they are a full 4/5. Despite what I am about to say, I am very glad these exist. I am glad people are trying to do this after Bose proper decided to kill the product/project. Good sleep is so important for health, and for me, noise is one of my biggest problems when I'm trying to sleep. And I travel for work. I spend about half my nights NOT at home, and it isn't fun. I have to have tools to block noise. My wife started snoring after child two. It's off and on. Ear plugs and sound machine wouldn't do it. I am not sure whether these block it because she doesn't always do it. But she hasn't woken me up in the couple weeks I've had them. One big issue is that if you're side sleeping, the snoring comes through the bed and pillow, regardless of sound machine or ear plugs, which is what I hope these solve. That said, are these better than ear plugs and a white noise sound machine? Maybe, but not by much. At least not at a volume that will last the night. I will say these are way more comfortable than ear plugs. That is an amazing step. But, $300. The description says "up to 10 hours of Bluetooth LE Streaming." That is being VERY generous. I've used basically exclusively the power saving Bluetooth mode which turns off streaming after 10 minutes, and with volume set between 64% and 75%, and after 7-8 hours of use, I have woken up with them at between 5% and 10%. In my picture, you can see the left is at 7% and the right at 10%. The fact that they aren't evenly draining when brand new is concerning. 64% volume also isn't that loud with my chosen sound. If I had to crank these up, I doubt they would get me through the night. Might I also remind you that Li-Ion batteries have so many charge cycles in them before they lose capacity. 300-500 is the general limit. So if you use these every day, with them barely scraping through a night's sleep as new, I doubt they will last much over a year. $300. Another issue I've been having is when I go onto my side, if I don't rest my head just right on the pillow, somehow the earbud sound gets blocked in that ear. I am not sure if it's just me or the earbuds. I have actually had that wake me up a couple times because I was moving around and the sound would stop and start in my pillow ear. I still use my sound machine with these, so I might try using the sleep timer off since falling asleep is the hard bit, and it should prolong the battery life. One thing I hate is the case. I really do. It has a slide open, spring assisted lid. I frequently find the case open in my travel bag and they're connecting to my phone unwanted. It's nice and all. It feels nice to open, and it's a clever, different design. But I think there's a reason most use a clam shell hinge open case. In practice, this doesn't work all that well. The bottom line is, if you have tried ear plugs and white noise sound machines (lectro fan is awesome), these may be a good step, if you have the money. But don't spend money you can't afford if you haven't tried the other things. Overall, I would say these are very impressive. They do last the night at this point. But I am worried they won't do that for long if I need sound all night. Hilariously, the alarm is advertised to not startle you or your partner. Yeah... The other day was the first time I recall being startled awake by an alarm (that wasn't my backup scary alarm), and me jerking awake also woke my partner. They are right in your ear and they don't ramp up like my phone alarm. They just go. But I probably would get used to it and not do that. The tech is certainly cool. The way it stores sounds on board and reconnects to sound your alarm is a neat way to conserve precious battery. If these were $150-200, or the battery life was much more promising, I would give a solid 4 or 5 stars. Edit: After a month of wearing these off and on, and every night at home and thinking they were working, it turns out I was just already sleeping at the right times. Just like before I used them. I have finally tested them against snoring, air conditioning fans, etc. Anything that produces a low rumble just comes straight through. I just woke up having to take care of business. My sleep timer had already shut them off. So I started them back up. Snoring. I changed them from 66% to 100% volume. Still there. The snoring just rumbles straight through the pillow, blanket, etc. I would honestly say that these are equally effective as ear plugs and a good sound machine like a $40 Lectro Fan. These still are more comfortable than any ear plugs I've tried. But Lectro Fan will 100% last the night at whatever volume you set.

I’m the worst sleeper! I hated to go to bed at night because knew I would be miserable.I toss and turn all night and my husbands gets super early, and I just wake up with him making me exhausted all day long. I saw ad for sleep earbuds and purchased and returned several pairs from Amazon. I was sleeping in my apple ear pods trying to block out any noise I could but of course that wasn’t working either, they were so uncomfortable for side sleepers. I then reluctantly bought the Ozlo sleep buds and was very taken back by the price. I actually got $50 off.($299) because of a promotion. I figured I would return these as soon as I got them if they were uncomfortable like the previous pairs I purchased. It took me about three nights to get the fit in my ear, and to get them paired and to get them disconnected from the Bluetooth. Some of the annoying things that were happening just takes some patience on how to use them. I did connect with Customer Service and I did not appreciate the long list of things they tried to get me to do with a brand new pair of sleep earbuds that were connected to Bluetooth and up-to-date. However, I will say that for the first time in years, I am now sleeping soundly and not waking up to any noises. I set my alarm now because I have to, or I will sleep right through ‘till 7:30 AM! I am a side sleeper, and every once in a while, I get a tiny bit of discomfort, but most of the time with the sound blocking noises I sleep soundly. I wake up refreshed and in no pain. It has been a relief. I am fearful that they will break and I will be back to square one but so far so good! I will recommend that you are ready to go to sleep at night open the app on your phone, open your Ozlo case, connect the earbuds to your ears close the case go to sleep! In the morning open the app Connect the earbuds back into the Ozlo case make sure they are connected correctly,(the app shows you that they are connected correctly) and shut the case. The Bluetooth will then turn off if you don’t do the steps correctly, it will cause them to not work correctly. This took me three days to figure out sorry :-) but when I do these steps, everything is so nice. I go to sleep, listening to an audiobook, when I fall asleep, the earbuds go to sleep masking sounds automatically, my audiobook, pauses, and I am in a deep sleep until morning for the first time in years! This is a sincere true review, and I am still mad about the price, but I’m grateful for the small size of this noise blocking sleep earbud that actually works.

I find it relaxing to listen to audiobooks/podcasts while falling asleep. After using regular earbuds for this for years, I decided to splurge on myself and get a dedicated sleepbud-type product. I picked the Ozlo sleepbuds expecting a premium product experience for the $300 price point. The reality is they are a fussy, buggy product that is (to be fair) quite decent when it works and is awful when it doesn't. I would return these if I wasn't past the return window on Amazon. Here are more detailed pros/cons I have found after using them for 4 months: Pros: - The fit and comfort level is quite good. You can sleep on your side while they are in. - The battery life is good enough to get through a night of sleep on a charge. Cons: - They often don't connect properly to my phone, so I have to repeat specific steps to get them working. Put them both in the case, ensure they are seated properly, open the app, open the case lid, then wait for them to connect in the app before I can take them out and use them. Not a huge deal but again, its fussy. - The sleepbuds must be kept close to the case (like 10 feet), or they will disconnect, forcing you to potentially repeat all the connection steps above if they bug out. So you can't walk out of a room without the case unless you're willing to risk disconnecting them. - The case must be kept charged, in addition to the sleepbuds. If the case has no charge, then the sleepbuds don't work. Maybe that's obvious to some people, but it is an entire additional device & battery to manage. - The case design, while clever, has a very flimsy hinge. It's not the type of case you can throw in a backpack full of gear and expect to survive. I don't have any faith it would survive even a short drop. Given how critical the case is to the device operation, this is doubly concerning. - There are random and intermittent audio quality issues even when the devices are well-charge and located close; pops and audio sources cutting in/out briefly. - After ~3 months of use, my left sleepbud developed an issue where it plays at less than half the volume of the right sleepbud. I can't hear anything from it unless the volume on my phone is maxed out. Emailing tech support got me a list of basic troubleshooting steps which I followed but did not resolve the issue. They have failed to respond to my request for what next to try (3 days and counting...). [update 4/8: It took support 7 days to respond to my email. By this time I had reset the sleepbuds using the 'pinhole' reset button on the case and the left earbud audio was restored. Email support had never suggested this as a step to try, not sure why...I had to figure it out from reading other people's issues.] - Update 12/10/2025: The left earbud went back to only playing at half the volume. I have tried all troubleshooting steps and the issue remains. I've given up on fixing this and just have been using it as-is. - Update 3/6/2026: The sleepbuds now disconnect from the case very frequently, even if they're close to the case and phone (even a few feet). I don't know if this was caused by a recent firmware update, or what happened. I would consider them unreliable to the point of being unusable. They're more like pair of earplugs now. I'm really disappointed.

I have been using the Ozlo sleep earbuds for about eight months and like them enough that I bought a pair for my wife. Now that the Android sleep-tracking software has been activated, they are even better. What I personally like most is the ability to stream audio and use alarms without disturbing my wife. Any talking or music bothers her, so I used to sleep with regular headphones, but I would often wake up tangled in the wires. These earbuds are comfortable, stay securely in my ears, sound quality is very good, and have no wires to deal with. Another major benefit is that I wake up before my wife for work. The alarm only sounds through the earbuds, so it wakes me up without disturbing her sleep. They do not have ANC, but I do not find that necessary. The earbuds attenuate outside sounds enough that most noises will not wake you, especially if you are using one of the masking sounds. They offer a wide variety of masking sounds, so it is easy to find one that works well for you. The sleep-tracking software is also quite good and helpful for identifying unhealthy sleep patterns. Cons: There is a fairly steep learning curve if you want to take full advantage of all their features.

I’ll be honest and say I’m not sure this item is strictly necessary given the already high quality of the Ozlo buds’ charging case. However, if cases are your thing, and you’re going to be travelling a lot, you might find this worthwhile. It will undoubtedly protect your sleep buds case from damage, allowing you to toss it into a bag and not have to worry about what else is in there. It also has a useful internal pouch for holding a charging cable, which is a thoughtful feature and it looks very smart.

Bought these as a replacement for my Böse Sleepbuds which I loved but had problems with that couldn’t be fixed. These are perfect - every bit as good as the Böse were but with none of the battery problems. As a bonus, they can be used as ’normal’ earbuds to listen to anything, then when that ends- switch automatically to the sleep sounds.

As someone who sleeps with air buds in my ears every night, I've been on the quest for great sleep buds for years. I've been switching between my apple air pods which hurt my ears often, and a raft of different cheaper sleep buds from Amazon and other online stores. I was reluctant to drop $399 on these Ozlo sleepbuds, but after ready positive review after positive review I bit the bullet. Only only two days in, but I can confirm that they are the best sleep buds I've owned (and I've owned many) - and the first that actually last all night long with battery life! They're comfortable for side sleeping and really do cut out the outside world. So far they are a total win.

Finally! I get insomnia frequently so I listen to sleep stories to help relax me but usually 15 minutes in, my headphones or earbuds just start hurting so I need to shut it down. The headband ones are hot and annoying on the head, not to mention the sound is horrid and you risk an uncertified battery on both sides of your head…enter OZLO, the sleep buds. Expensive? Hell yes, but soooo comfortable (fyi this is Bose tech). The sound is good and the sound that plays after your personal audiobook is done etc is adjusted separately so it can be lower or higher than the sound from your personal programs. I really don’t feel them in my ear. I highly recommend.
