It isn't regular salt, but Redmond Salt, which is a high-quality nutritional salt. Some people just don't like salt and having a better salt doesn't help. But it makes a huge difference to me.

Hi and thanks for your question. The Sprouted are soaked in filtered water and then low-temperature dried below 105F to keep them raw, preserving delicate vitamins and enzymes. They come out with a light, crunchy taste. The organic raw are the same walnuts, but not sprouted. Just shelled and ready to eat. Both are completely free of any treatment or pasteurization, kept refrigerated and shipped with oxygen removed in an American-made oxygen barrier bag for maximum freshness.
