Should have bought this year's ago.
I purchased a straight razor recently. Because of that, I felt like this was a necessary purchase. Long story short, I'm still afraid of that razor and taking my time to get used to it. In the meantime, I'm still using my Gillette Fusion razor. Every two months, for the more than 15 years, I've used one refill to shave my head and face...and that was at least three times a week. I would stroke the blade 20 times over a towel to debur it upon completion. I was good with it. This strop is sooooo much better than a towel. I may be able to use my razer three months.

works great
Nice strop that does the job. I like the feel of the draw. The leather is rather souple, which I like. The blue linen is perfect for cleaning the blade prior to stropping. Someone was complaining that it felt like shaving with a hacksaw. I don't know what this person did, but my razors come of it very smooth.

Straight Razor Strop
The leather used was extremely dry and really not workable, I had to condition it a little to get the proper stropping actions.

nice strop
bought this about a month ago, pretty decent strop for the price. The leather a little thin but been having no problems with the length or the thickness of the leather. The jean material used for the other one is decent and one side can be used. The other side of the jean material not really usable because of the big middle stitching. Other than that been having no problems keeping my straight razors nice and sharp. The stitching on the jean one is the reason I gave this product four stars and not five. With the large and wide stitching be in the middle of the reverse side of the jean material I can not place honing product and cant get a rehone done... but all good

My learning curve Leather Strop.
I purchased this product on the simple knowledge that it was going to be my throwaway Leather Strop. This is the poor man's inexpensive strop and helps with memory motor support. I enjoy using this simple Leather Strop as it goto and was my first Strop. It's jus 2" at the widest range. I learned from using this Strop, cross over pattern when I was learning to Lap my Razor"s. Now, I've said it prior, I did purchase this product on the simple knowledge that it was going to be my throwaway Leather Strop.. My Strop has a bunch of knicks and cuts that, Bandaids are certainly out of the question.. This Strop is certainly in my opinion the Strop you want to learn on when you first learn to lap your Straight Razors. Fortunately with my Leather Strop it helped with my learning curve at Lapping my Straight Razors. This certainly isn't the best Strop to stay with but you can use it when you haven't cleaned your Straight Razors in awhile. So, go ahead and order one and use it to learn on before you buy those expensive and beautiful Leather Strops out on the Market.

Quality of a $5 dollar Child's Toy
This strop is criminally thin. The leather measures .95mm which makes it thinner than a dime. It has no integrity and cannot be used as a proper strop. I could work with the short length, and it's the only strop I've seen with denim which is the main reason this interested me. I even thought about keeping it for the denim side (only 1.25mm thick), but with a price of $43.60 with the tax I paid, it's not worth $3.61 in the materials they used to make it. I can buy used jeans at the thrift store and make a better denim strop. Steer way clear of this strop that has the build quality of a child's toy. Seriously, I've seen toys sold at the Choctaw Trading Post for kids that had thicker leather.

Nice strop for a nice price.
I just received this today and it was pretty alright. However, it is unfortunately now in two pieces. It wasn't due to a faulty product but rather my own lack of paying attention. I just finished sharpening one of my razors and went to try it out and while using it I got distracted, loosened my grip, and sliced right trough the leather strap. Strop 101: Always pay attention. All in all I liked it and due to its nice price I can get a new one to replace it.

Not cutting myself when I shaved
I had one of these before in fact, I still got it. I just had to have a second one for an alternative place. They’re very good straps.
